  2. I find it very difficult to get invested emotionally in what's happening in the Middle East, unlike the conflict in Ukraine. In Ukraine, it's very clear who started it, who lied and lied, who broke treaty after treaty, and who wants to destroy and dismember Russia. On the other hand, everybody in this Middle East debacle is either evil, lying about numbers and events, attacking somebody else, and causing chaos, including Israel, the US, Hamas and many Palestinians, the Houthis, and Iran. There is absolutely no one to cheer for, and so much potential danger to the whole world.
