  1. There is a BIG DIFFERENCE between being a dependent employee with a W2 and being self employed. NO WAY they can tell you what you owe if you're self employed! If they did, you'd have no chance to make all the deductions that rich people do! As for dependent employees, fine, that's how it works in the UK, no return needs to be filed.
