  3.  JJ AC  There is legal and illegal immigration. All of the immigrants from the late 1800s and early 1900s had to be admitted legally and many were sent back. And furthermore, they all had to WORK or they starved, there were no handouts and welfare like all the illegal economic migrants are getting today, money from the American taxpayers who work and pay into the system even when they are barely getting by themselves.
