The West is bringing the Ukraine conflict to a stage in which it could spiral into uncontrolled escalation with potentially global repercussions, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has said. This comes amid reports that many Western countries have allowed Ukraine to use foreign-made weapons to strike deep into Russia. Writing on Telegram on Friday, Medvedev, who serves as the deputy chief of Russia’s Security Council, stated that Western countries, which are said to have signed off on long-range strikes, must understand that their military equipment and personnel either operating in Ukraine or carrying out attacks on Russia from other countries, “will be destroyed.” He stressed that Russia considers all long-range systems used by Ukraine to be directly controlled by NATO personnel. “This is not some kind of ‘military assistance, this is taking part in a war against us.” He went on to say that the West risks miscalculating the chances of nuclear weapons being used, just as it failed to anticipate the start of Russia’s Ukraine operation. - RT

These clowns are playing with genuine nuclear fire. That is how the Biden Administration and many of the NATO members are behaving. They are making incredibly belligerent and stupid threats and the Russians, not just Putin, are taking notice and stiffening their spines for a tough response if the West follows through on these threats. The West’s reckless talk and incitement of Ukraine to launch strikes further inside Russia, going well beyond the immediate border region, is one more indicator that the West is in a full-blown panic. And to put an exclamation point on the failure of expensive U.S. war machinery, a F-35 jet enroute from Lockheed’s production facility, crashed and burned outside of Albuquerque. The Russians are stepping up pressure on Ukrainian forces all along the 900 mile front and it is yielding steady results, as Ukraine surrenders one village after another. Ukraine’s military lost more than 35,000 troops and thousands of pieces of weaponry this month, Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov said on Friday. Speaking at the defense ministers’ meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Kazakhstan, Belousov stated that the Russian military continues to “systematically reduce the combat potential of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.” The minister claimed that apart from losing a significant number of troops, this month, Kiev has also lost more than 2,700 pieces of heavy weaponry, including 290 tanks and armored combat vehicles. These include four US-made Abrams tanks, seven Leopards, and 12 Bradleys. Additionally, Ukraine lost 11 airplanes, four helicopters, and around 730 field artillery guns and multiple launch rocket systems, he said. Belousov noted that after suffering such casualties and faced with an inability to seize the initiative on the battlefield, particularly in Kharkov Region, where Ukrainian forces have gradually been getting pushed back, Kiev has resorted to attacking civilian infrastructure in order to demonstrate to its Western sponsors its ability to cause damage to Russia. - RT

  5. The Russian military this week repelled Kiev’s largest missile attack yet on the strategic Crimean Bridge, Defense Minister Andrey Belousov has said. Speaking at a meeting of defense ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Kazakhstan on Friday, the defense chief said Ukraine had fired ten US-supplied ATACMS at the bridge on Wednesday night. The projectiles had a flight time of less than two minutes to their target, he added. “All missiles were shot down. As a result, hundreds of lives were saved,” Belousov said. - RT
