The first deputy permanent representative of Russia to the UN said, noting that for every round of escalation from the West, Russia will give a decisive and mirror response: “We consider ourselves to have the right to use our weapons against military targets of those countries that allow their weapons to be used against our targets. We warned you about this, however, you made your choice.”
President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov have delivered the same basic message over the course of the last six days, and the West appears to believe that they are bluffing. While I do not pretend to be a Russia expert based on years of scholarship, my limited but personal exposure to Russian officials — e.g., Ambassador Polianski escorted me when I testified before the UN Security Council in the spring and we had a pleasant conversation prior to the session — tells me these men do not make idle conversation nor do they make off-the-cuff remarks. They mean every damn word they speak.
Sometime between now (Wednesday night on the east coast of the USA) and Saturday, the 30th, Russia is going to strike one or more military targets with the Oreshnik missile, or something comparable, that will be more dramatic and damaging than its attack last Thursday in Dnipropetrovsk.
This will create a new decision point for the West. Continue the FAFO policy and continue attacking Russian territory or call a halt to the madness. - sonar21

The deployment of the hypersonic-ballistic Oreshnik missile, capable of carrying nuclear warheads, was no mere “combat test.” It was a calculated signal, a demonstration of Moscow’s resolve to defend its red lines with decisive force. The West’s strategy, built on the illusion of Russian hesitance, is a catastrophic miscalculation. Moscow has no illusions about what’s at stake, and its actions reflect a sobering acknowledgment of the existential threat posed by NATO’s provocations.
Unlike the Cold War, this is no longer a game of chess where careful strategy and mutual respect for red lines dictate moves. This is poker, played with nuclear chips, where bluffing and brinkmanship replace logic and restraint. The U.S. and NATO, emboldened by their own propaganda, are gambling that Russia won’t escalate. But Russia, rooted in a historical memory of existential defense, isn’t playing the West’s game, it’s prepared for survival.
History will not be kind to those who gamble with humanity’s future for the sake of their own political vanity. It’s time for the West to step back, not as an act of weakness, but as an acknowledgment of reality.

MILITARY TUBE TODAY – The rapid changes, the Russian Armed Forces stormed and took the settlement of Berestki, securing more of the northern bank of the Kurakhovo reservoir, yesterday on November 27, 2024, Russian military correspondents report. Elements of the 114th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Army released their footage, showing them planting the Red Flag and flying it on the roof of a house in the summer cottage area west of the settlement, accumulating the morale of the Kiev troops that was steadily declining in the town of Kurakhovo and its environs. The soldiers of the 114th Brigade continued their confident offensive, suppressing Zelensky's troops, who tried to take refuge in the buildings of the settlement, and in fortifications located about 1 km northwest of Berestky.
During the assault, the footage showed the soldiers of the 114th Brigade, destroying Ukrainian equipment and infantry, consolidating control over the liberated territory. The aerial view shows the large Ukrainian fortifications, which were well established around March - April 2024, in addition to earthen fortifications, also have reinforced concrete shelters for defense. But the heroic soldiers managed to hold it constantly and persistently, giving a little friction to the Ukrainian positions in the shelters prepared for defense, but in the end it was not enough. In total, the fight to break through the enemy's defensive positions, Russian soldiers combed the enemy from house to house, previously pounded by artillery fire. Their attempt to escape in a vehicle was also thwarted!
Berestky, another settlement in Donetsk under Russian control, but still awaiting official confirmation from the Ministry of Defense after the settlement is fully completed. Gradually, Russian troops will pass the reservoir, the last solid line of defense for Ukrainian troops - which means that Russia now has only about 3 km to trap Ukraine in the western part of the city of Kurakhovo. The situation in that direction is rapidly becoming critical, because it has long been known that Ukraine main problem is the lack of soldiers and equipment. Ukrainian brigades are facing a shortage of drones and have started to open donations, indicating that they are currently facing their toughest battle.

MILITARY TUBE TODAY – The joint siege of the Syrian Arab Army along with the Russian Armed Forces against various units of the rebel forces against the Syrian government has began following their attacks on the Syrian Army. On November 27, the rebels in Idlib launched their major attack around the western areas of Aleppo Province in Northeastern Syria, the timing of the attack just hours after Netanyahu's warning to Assad about "playing with fire", for supporting the Palestinian and Lebanese struggles, indicating a broader geopolitical strategy coinciding with the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon. As in the footage, the rebel forces attacked the Syrian Army with heavy weapons and MANPADS. Furthermore, additional reinforcements of special forces from the Syrian Arab Army arrived at the gates of Aleppo to stop them!
The video reportedly shows the Syrian Army's MLRS now shots fire, hitting allied militias positions from the Hayat Tahrir Al Sham (HTS), who are advancing in Aleppo. This is to stop the extremist rebels who violated the de-escalation agreement, started operations that endanger civilians and have reportedly captured the village of Zerbeh from the Assad Army in the area. Western media use the term 'Syrian Opposition' in the context of the conflict in Syria, and this attack as "the occupation by the Assad militias", who defeated the threat of the rebels for now along with Russian forces with heavy artillery fire. In addition, it was reported that the Syrian Arab Army was involved in fierce clashes with al-Nusra rebel units while the joint Russian-Syrian Air Force also took action in the town of Atarib. Aviation prepared for bombing strikes, which hit rebel positions as they advanced west of Aleppo city.
According to Syrian sources today on November 28, more than 200 al-Nusra rebels have been neutralized since the offensive began. Regardless of whether Aleppo falls or not, the city has fallen before to President Assad and the possibility of returning Idlib to Syrian government control is currently being discussed.
