  4. Jordan is a US ally and as such American troops stationed on its territory – while in our opinion extremely unwise – are not illegally occupying foreign soil. However, if as is likely this facility was inside the Syrian border it means US troops illegally occupying Syrian territory were hit. In other words, a foreign occupying force was attacked by people defending their homeland. That’s a very different story and one that Washington’s warmongers would rather Americans back home not ponder. Most Americans likely do not understand that US forces are illegally occupying a large portion of Syrian territory – a country with which Washington is not legally at war – and therefore any Americans killed in Syria may result in the public starting to ask, “why exactly are we there”? Sen. Lindsey Graham, who has never seen a war he doesn’t want other people to fight, has offered his own explanation as to why US troops are getting killed in Syria: “Our forces in Jordan and Syria are there to protect the American homeland.” But as thousands illegally enter our actual American homeland every day with total impunity, it is a claim that is unlikely to resonate with most Americans. Nevertheless Graham, a one-hit wonder, has posted his advice to respond to the Iraqi Resistance drone strike on the US base in Syria: “Hit Iran now. Hit them hard.” Iraq attacks an illegal US base in Syria? Attack Iran. His morning decaf mocha frap latte from Starbucks is cold? Attack Iran. One hit wonder. If Graham’s fever dreams are fulfilled and the US launches an attack on Iran with nearly a Vietnam-sized contingent of American “sitting ducks” in the region, there is a very good chance America may finally take notice. 35,000 Americans in body bags to satisfy Lindsey’s perverse lust for blood could well finally focus America’s attention on the malevolent force that has maintained an iron grip on US foreign policy regardless of whether R’s or D’s are “running the show.” Let’s hope America wakes up before this happens. Iraq has already demanded that the US remove its occupation troops immediately and the Iraqi parliament voted nearly four years ago that US troops must leave the country. The DC establishment claimed that the 2003 invasion of Iraq was to “restore democracy,” but when the democratically-elected Iraqi parliament voted for the US military to end its occupation of the country…Washington said “no” to democracy. Nobody wants US troops in the region except for Israel, which has just been found to be possibly committing genocide in Gaza. Is this really the crowd we want to run with? Maybe we can just come home? - LewRockwell

  8. There is a lot of wild speculation and misinformation coursing through the blogosphere regarding the bombing of a U.S. base in Jordan. What was the purpose of the base? This base is one of the primary entry points for U.S. military personnel being sent to man bases in Syria. It is a personnel and logistics hub. Think about it. How do the U.S. military personnel at bases inside Syria, like Al Tanf, get there? They do not parachute in and there are no secure airfields. Instead, the U.S. forces fly into Jordan and land at one or more of the seven main Jordanian military airfields: It is no secret that King Abdullah is close with the United States. However, that no longer is a reliable benefit. It is a potential liability. The last thing King Abdullah wants is the world to focus on the fact that he is helping the United States carry out what are essentially oil protection operations in Syria. Illegal operations. And much of the oil winds up inside Israel. The U.S. mission in Syria has little to do with fighting and destroying ISIS, a Sunni inspired extremist organization. That is basically, in my view, a cover for action. The real purpose, I believe, is to destabilize the Government of Syria and maintain U.S. control over Syrian oil resources. U.S. forces also are in position to monitor and and carry out military operations against Shia tribes with ties to Iran. Here is one more thing we know — this was not an Iranian operation. The Pentagon has issued a carefully worded statement saying the group responsible is “Iranian supported.” If the United States had actual evidence implicating Iran in this attack that information would be broadcast loudly and widely. The fact that the Biden Administration is silent on that particular piece of evidence tells you the U.S. is still scrambling to find the slam dunk proof. - Sonar21

  11. For over 100 years our government has told us who are the bad guys and who are the good guys. And we dutifully believed because our government would never lie to us – it was unfathomable. Today, our government is caught lying daily. About everything. No PR campaign can undo what has been revealed. Everything we were told was fake – is real, and everything we were told is real has been found to be fake. Therefore, we can assume this fakery will continue unabated because it is all they know. ANY country that opposes US colonization is deemed a ‘terrorist’. Iran had defied the western colonization and thereafter became Enemy Number 1. Like Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Yemen, etc…, the punishment for fighting colonization is death, destruction, and economic suppression. Iran was simply another enemy to pile on the list that is now far greater than the list of our allies!! Does Iran have laws that don’t align with our value structure? You betcha! But the West also embraces laws that don’t align with our value structure – as in illegal border invasion, bribery of politicians, illegal stock market gains, pedophilia, child molestation, etc…. Yet, Iran isn’t bombing the US because of our failures and abuses. Neither is China. Neither is Russia. But all these countries are Enemy Number 1 because they will NOT allow US colonization. As a Bad Guy Campaign – Nikki Haley has declared Iran must be wiped off the face of the earth and American Taxpayers should be willing to spend every last dollar – to do so!!! While a disgraceful UN continues to thrive based on its “Peace Accomplishments”… The US has been involved in 108 Wars since 1776. There are roughly 10 wars ongoing across the globe. This is what the United Nations declares to be ‘peacemaking’. According to a Swedish report, there have been 285 war/conflicts since the UN was created in 1945. Not exactly a stellar accomplishment… It is disheartening – to say the least – to learn that the country you love is run by psychopaths and pathological liars, but at least, Now we Know. - LewRockwell
