honestly the office was kinda plagued by the writers having to wing everything. they brought in jordan in season 7 but then she got some movie roles and had to leave, val was supposed to be andy's love interest but then they realized andy would be leaving. they made andy the boss because he was their next big star after steve left but then they had to write andy as a douche and have him leave cuz he got too busy...so yeah. they should've just ended it but I think it was pretty admirable what they were able to scrounge up with everything thrown at them.
