I think that's the same plan that got us into the position we're in now with 36 trillion dollars in debt and annual budget deficits projected to be about 1. 7 tree in a year. Great idea sir

  7. ​ @Martial-Mat children shouldn't play with numbers they don't understand. Look at suicide rates in Europe and the United States they're about the same well in the United States a lot of those gun deaths are suicides in countries without guns they just killed themselves another way

If you look at the raw number of gun deaths in America a lot of those are suicides but we don't have a higher suicide rate than other advanced countries that don't have guns. This means that because guns are available in America it's a tool of choice for suicides but in other countries they still commit suicide they just don't use guns to do it. Also when you look outside the uncontrollable inner cities run by our leftist Marxist friends murder rates are as low as they are anywhere in Europe. My hometown of 10,000 people has had two or three murders in the last hundred years.

When it comes to a couple of periods and the first half of the 20th century is one of them, the books I read have notes refering to other books I have already read. You're basing your view of the middle of the 20th century on one book...... well you don't really know much yet.

I have read, as I pointed out, about a thousand works of nonfiction history written by a wide variety of authors ranging from authors who wrote them two and a half thousand years ago to last week. Give me a few weeks notice I could teach history at the University level which I have never done although I have taught organic chemistry at that level. Your level of understanding of history is not even 1% of mine. When I'm write about history you should take notes

  31. It should never have been lowered from 21 in the first place even though that meant that I could vote 3 years sooner. I'm old enough to remember when they changed it and I've always been a bright guy who reads a lot and pays attention to the news even when I was young so I remember thinking at the time well I know enough stuff to vote but most of my friends aren't confident to warm up Franks and beans . I'm sorry but in many ways people between 18 and 21 especially 18/19 are still children

What do you think it does the race relations in this country if white people have to pay taxes to give money to black people for things that happen in my case before my ancestors even lived here. You'll have working poor white people everywhere sending reparation checks that go to even the wealthiest of blacks.

They question is how relevant is that to today 2024?: people who are more interested than constantly ripping off the scab and keeping the wounds open are not people who can possibly be part of the solution.   46. ​ @zoomby4380 standards have decreased a lot since back in the day when I was in college and grad school. Just one example; I hired kids right out of college for years, very bright kids with degrees in mathematics, statistics, economics etc. and every decade I saw the cumes on the resumes get higher and higher. The funny thing is I gave all those kids the same problems to work as part of my interview process and I use the same ones for years so that I could compare people across time and despite the increased cumes they weren't doing any better than the kids from years earlier with much lower cumes they didn't do any better on the programming altitude test I gave them either.
