I'm an OG and I watched race relations in this country improve my entire lifetime untill about 25 years ago. Then we elected Obama in 2008, that should have been, as much as I disliked his politics, the crowning achievement of an improving racial situation in America. Then he actually made things far worse and it's been getting worse ever since. This is pretty upsetting to me

@chrisallison9151 the biggest cause of those disparities is the terrible educational system in our inner cities and an attitude of many blacks towards education that is extremely negative. These are the kinds of things that happen when you constantly tell people that they can't succeed. Stop blaming other people and do something about it

@saythankyou111 those days have been over for a very long time I'm old enough to have watched it all change and it had changed completely by the end of the 80s

@chrisallison9151 stop blaming other people and do something to fix the situation hint: it starts with intact families and respect for education. As long as the black illegitimacy rate is 80% there is no chance that they are going to wind up equally represented in the higher paying professions.

@chrisallison9151 the Republicans gave us the first black secretary of state, the first black national security advisor and so on. And by the way since they were Republicans you know they were picked purely for their knowledge and skill. It amazes me that anybody thinks that systemic racism is a problem compared to rampant illegitimacy.

@chrisallison9151 please stop blathering the problem is the culture in the black community. All my black friends and I have clothes black friends in my inner circle are all educated and hard-working people. In order for blacks to achieve at the same levels as whites in the higher professions there has to be a change in the culture rampant fatherlessness explains most of it. Black economic progress in this country the first 25 years after world war II was faster than whites. Then we invented the Great society programs and destroyed the black family. So do something about that because everything else is just window dressing

@chrisallison9151 if Irish people also had an 80% out of wedlock birth rate they would be stuck behind too. Stop blaming other people

@chrisallison9151 my professional black friends don't complain and just got about making a success of themselves.

@chrisallison9151 you're not half as smart as you think you are you're completely wrong you don't understand what the actual issues are and what's holding black people back. I find it a horrible that young black kids in many communities have zero chance. You need to clean up your own house
