@Darkallamusthe Europeans never stopped being colonizers that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. The British are about the only example in history I can think of who voluntarily wound down an empire. Drop the colonialism claptrap

@ijustwannaleaveacommentony6511 I understood this point but when you start out saying that Europeans are always colonizers you kind of strike a bad chord with the point you're about to make. He should have said that Europeans are always treated as colonizers, far more clear

The third world countries that were part of the British empire are generally the ones in the best shape because the British left them with a locally staff fully functional civil service and and railroad
4
Did you actually think that sounded intellectual because it's ridiculous for you to say there's no such thing as Western Civilization just because there's multiple variants of it. When the next 10 years reading and then come back and post again
3
After your take on Shakespeare a lot of great artists are not recognized as such in their lifetime
3
@demian2658 that is pretty much completely objectively provably true
2
@PeteBurns-xv2fz North Africa was really part of the Mediterranean world not the African world
1
@kda14_ but the big time age of exploration was really a European phenomenon because of their ability to move Intercontinentaly with ships. Stop trying to elevate the achievements of others
1
@richieidahosa1338 well I know that you made this point accidentally because you obviously don't understand much but yes southern Europe and North Africa are linked in the Mediterranean system that most of the bronze age in iron age revolved around in that part of the world. If your new history you would understand such things
1
@rudilambert1065 who is they by the way? I think you're trying to attribute the triumphs of the Egyptians and other people of North Africa with subsided and they're two different worlds with different people, Races and languages and everything
1
@bmniac like the universities in your part of the world that even remotely comparable to those in western civilization
1
@PeteBurns-xv2fz well they have progressed just much more slowly it would be still stuck in something resembling the 15th century.
1
@kda14_ well perhaps you didn't I just get tired of lots of people who want to denigrate Western Civilization
1
@richieidahosa1338 geographically of course North Africa is part of the African continent. But culturally and historically North Africa along with southern Europe and the near east formed the Mediterranean world. So culturally, ethnically and technologically they were completely distinct from sub-Saharan Africa. If you knew history you would already know this
1
@richieidahosa1338 what you can because culturally as western civilization developed it developed in the Mediterranean world which consisted of southern Europe, North Africa and the near East. Even today North Africa has more interaction with Europe than with sub-Saharan Africa
1
@richieidahosa1338 it's call trade with First world countries
1
Marxists come up with that
1
There are any the Nations that were part of the British empire are generally in better shape than the ones that weren't
1
@burlbird9786 Shakespeare and his literature are important part of western civilization and history. Don't be so rude you're not a quarter as smart as you think you are
1
@EyeMixMusic thank you for your pointless point
1
@burlbird9786 actually it's your opinion that is laughable. The British empire began to dissolve 3/4 of a century ago. There is no reason why the great-grandchildren of the colonials have a claim on the country of the great grandchildren of the British imperialists. By the way compare former British colonies to the rest of the third world and they're doing better thank you
1
@richieidahosa1338 if you're talking about western civilization and has roots that go back thousands of years.
1
@richieidahosa1338 we didn't have the wheel because we didn't need it...... LOL.
1
@AsierEtxeberria nobody deleted African history
1
@burlbird9786 natural your lack of understanding is what's hilarious. And yes the people old enough to have been running things 75 years ago or at least the great-grandparents maybe the great-great-grandparents of the people today. India's not the only former British colony by the way that's doing better than their neighbors. Try to grow up
1
@richieidahosa1338 yawn
1
@EyeMixMusic oh I get it you think you know and understand this stuff a full 5% as much as I do. you don't
1
@burlbird9786 it cracks me up when people don't understand my math
1
@gaiustacitus4242 is that what you're doing right now communicating with me looking to your betters for answers. You don't really know what you're talking about you sound intelligent but you said you missed the point so broadly I find that hard to believe
1
@gaiustacitus4242 my child like mind is light years ahead of yours. My intellectual resume would make you cry. The quality of my thinking led to a very nice living for me and my rising to levels of authority and responsibility that you will never even wiff. You should probably argue with somebody more at your own level.
1
@gaiustacitus4242 my child like mine that led me to achieve things that you will never even wiff and earned me a very handsome living and I'm extremely intellectually challenging discipline.
1
@gaiustacitus4242 yes my child like mine that led a lot of money in an incredibly multidisciplinary and complex area. I wielded levels of power and responsibility that you will never even get close to
1
@gaiustacitus4242 if people want to give up their ancestral customs. What if it's left-wing jerks forcing them to do so well you can get lost
1
Yes the pseudo intellectual on the left lights to pontificate but I think that it comes from a place of hate and he's being ridiculous I mean history happened the way it happened it's immutable to change
1
@ijustwannaleaveacommentony6511 glad to hear he had one
1
@andchat6241 that's the nice summary but I already know all that. There was a degree of us pressure as well
1
Well it's not just what our ancestors did in the past it's everything bad that our ancestors did in the past and none of the great achievements of Western Civilization like say for example democracy are never recognized by these people
