  3. I've been saying that forever but it doesn't just boil down to the same thing because right now there are groups of people from disadvantaged backgrounds who are excluded. I've never understood why a white kid from a dirt-poor family in a dirt-poor town can't get help while we give help to the African-American child of a thoracic surgeon.

  8. @radagast7200  I remember as far back as the late seventies when my friends would get Pell grants and use them to go to Florida for spring break they basically not counting their parents income. When the big teet of government gets hung out lots of people line up. The people who are supposed to police such things don't even care a little bit cuz you say it's not their money.

Academia needs to be reformed but it is essential. We need to clean it up academia was far less political when I earned my degrees

  20. I loved law and order and still enjoy the old episodes but I stopped watching the most recent third of the episodes years ago because it was getting way too political. I call much of what passes for shows on TV and movies over the last 25 years as lessons on life from the left. You're the worst people in the world and they want to tell us how to live

The only people who appear to be racist towards Asians are black people and the left-wing idiots at the colleges who do not let them in because there would be too many of them on campus. Of course part of the reforms should be getting rid of fake disciplines like degrees in this studies or that studies that are made up disciplines with no academic standards
