  3. I've been saying that forever but it doesn't just boil down to the same thing because right now there are groups of people from disadvantaged backgrounds who are excluded. I've never understood why a white kid from a dirt-poor family in a dirt-poor town can't get help while we give help to the African-American child of a thoracic surgeon.

Academia needs to be reformed but it is essential. We need to clean it up academia was far less political when I earned my degrees

  10. @radagast7200  I remember as far back as the late seventies when my friends would get Pell grants and use them to go to Florida for spring break they basically not counting their parents income. When the big teet of government gets hung out lots of people line up. The people who are supposed to police such things don't even care a little bit cuz you say it's not their money.

  18. 7:13 Their entire important disciplines that it's almost impossible to learn any other way than through the University. We need to reform the university not get rid of them. Of course part of the reforms should be getting rid of fake disciplines like degrees in this studies or that studies that are made up disciplines with no academic standards
