There was massive cross-cultural trade and exchange of ideas around the Mediterranean basin and into Western Asia to at least the Tigris and Euphrates, that the Egyptians benefited from that the rest of Africa, separated by the Sahara did not. I have no doubt that if they have been plugged into that system they would have also benefited from The exchange ideas and what have developed along similar lines but that is not what happened. I love and respect history and I resent people who are trying to rewrite it and lie about it to serve a political goal. The past happened the way it happened it's immutable to change
