You really don't understand economics which isn't really a knock cuz most people don't but really you should find out more before you keep writing about stuff like this

Not to mention that the left never talks about who actually owns minimum wage over half of the people earning minimum wage are between 16 and 25 almost all part-time and a chunk of the remaining just under half that are over $25 include a lot of people working part-time old people working part-time to supplement their social security. There's a tiny number of people actually trying to support a family at minimum wage. Not to mention as people lose their jobs and find out the real minimum wage is zero

  31. ​ @axidhaus if I have to pay extremely low skilled workers $20 an hour I'm going to want to get people at least have some experience in the workplace and have shown that they can do things like show up on time. Why would I hire a 16 year old..... Especially the current crop when I do see them working aren't doing very much or paying attention to their job

And I'm sorry the average worker at Walmart stays around less than a year many are part-time and n most come to Walmart with no skills. If you work at Walmart and you have anything on the ball at all you can move up as they promote almost entirely from within. The pay also is not as low as you think it is and they offer health insurance which a lot of low-cost employers do not. Not to mention that nobody is chaining people to cash registers and making them work there. Also a lot of the employees who stay very briefly are just looking for a paycheck when they're between real jobs

  40.  @cassady7169  I was around at the time. If you take the 7:25 from 15 years ago and add inflation to it you get something around $10 and not $20 an hour. And minimum wage is not intended to be a living wage it can't be. You can't pay 17 year old Burger flippers a "living wage" like they were grown ups with real jobs. I think that my level of economic understanding financial understanding etcetera is probably quite a bit ahead of yours since I used to get paid a lot of money for being able to think this stuff through
