  1. I feel like we COULD'VE gotten into the market in 2017 or 2018 but with only 10% or less down payment, and we were already headed to bubble and crash especially in 2018. If you look at the 4 week rolling home price average on the Fed site, you can SEE where it started petering in 2017, 2018, and 2019. It's ONLY the pandemic that escalated things to such an insane level... stimulus money and INSANELY low rates... and NO ONE could've predicted that. I do feel like the people who bought within the last three years deserve to come down to negative equity, honestly, if there's any justice in the world... unless they're the unicorn who somehow did get a decent deal. Most people didn't though... operating purely on emotion and irrationally. That shouldn't be rewarded.
