  1. I grew up as a Lions fan. I remember having that attachment to sports before I realized how useless it was. Now that I'm learning to apply that same concept to nationalities, I've felt much better about how the world is operating. I can see the Lions lose all the time because I don't care anymore, seeing what happens in governments gives me the same sense of disconnection now. At least, it's waning.
