  1. The reason we were not able to is, because they were given monopoly, with public sector inefficiency. Recently, the defence companies were corporatized, and more private participation was brought. So, they are going to improve.

  3. Historically, India was the manufacturing superpower, with its arts and crafts dominating world trade. Missing the industrial revolution, and excess population made us backward.

  4. I think China is causing inflation to inflating away the debt. The currency will depreciate, making exports competitive, to offset some of the burden. Other exporting countries will be affected. The forex reserves will be depleted, but the economy will be saved, in the short run. After that, they will have to restart with good policies.

  7. Pakistan's Muslim population has grown larger than Indian Muslim population. Now Pakistan has largest Muslim population in the world. India is third, with Indonesia second. Indonesia itself has slower population growth than India.
