  5. If I have 9 crore, why would I go to US, just to drive an Uber? This is good for H1B people, who can use their savings from US salary, to cut short the 20-years wait time. Like if someone saves 70,000 dollar every year, invests them, so that it grows to 1 million dollar, in best case 8 years, then they can use this to get green card in another 3 years. 9 years saved. The more salary you earn, the faster it will be.

Russia is receiving much less money than before, but India is benefiting. So, due to quirk of fate, India is making profits at the cost of Russia, and West is okay with it. And this is a success of Indian diplomacy.

  24. @SM-ih3go  Gujarat behind in industrialization? Gujarat per capita income is higer than MH. MH per capita income is mainly due to Mumbai. Eastern MH is suffering drought. But dry Kutch is having good agriculture incomes. Mumbai was already developed even before independence. What did Maharashtra state govt do? Other than sugarcane freebies? Original Mumbai businesses are Gujarati - whether Hindu and Muslim and Parsi. From Hiranandani to Azim Premji to Tatas.

Then, the average is much worse than Gujarat. Gujarat is doing well, even without a big city like Mumbai. That shows the real strength of Gujarat.

  34. Only 3% are paying taxes to Central govt. And this is 2/3rd of all Central tax collection. Common man pays more taxes to state govt, and gets same back in freebies. The real problem is lack of development expenditure at state level. Only development increases income. Freebies just keep you at survival level. There are many wasteful freebie too. Like farm subsidies that are going to only rich farmers, who don't pay any taxes. That needs to stop.

  38. It is misleading to say, middle class is paying more taxes. Middle class itself is divided into lower and upper middle class. And rich are separate. Total non-zero direct tax paying individuals are 3%. Lower middle class doesn't pay anything. Upper middle class are 2.2% in the 3% tax payers and are paying 50% of the taxes. The rich persons are 0.8%, and paying remaining 50% of the direct taxes.

  41. You are still wrong. Markets crashed because of Trump's tariffs. There is global market selloff. Rupee also fell, which is also because of dollar strengthening due to whole world buying dollars because they are afraid of uncertainty due to tariffs.

Visit Ahmedabad and ride the BRTS - bus rapid transit. You will feel like metro but in a bus. Beautifully done. Lowest crime rates. Much less congested too.

  50. We should have multiple slabs for capital gains. In last budget, when they removed indexation, they should have removed upto a limit. Then only speculators would have been targeted.
