Not US hypocrisy but good Indian diplomacy. Because of good Indian diplomacy, US did not put sanctions on buying refined Russian oil, then also people would have hated US. Russia is receiving much less money than before, but India is benefiting. So, due to quirk of fate, India is making profits at the cost of Russia, and West is okay with it. And this is a success of Indian diplomacy.
