  3. Madhabi Buch has replied to that. She invested in the fund in 2015, when she was private citizen. In 2017, she joined SEBI as just a member, and she transferred the fund units to her husband in Singapore. In 2018, she and her husband sold the units, because the fund manager, who was their friend, left the management. All this has happened before she became Chairperson in 2022. And also Adani shares started rising from 2020 onwards. This is my own observation. So, there is no conflict of interest.

  4.  @praveenkumar760003  What is the need of announcing to public? She told SEBI, and that's enough. Other SEBI members and organization know that. And you are making assumption that she herself was investigating Adani. Investigation can be done by so many other people at SEBI. Chairman need not do that. And even if she herself investigated, she was not holding any units of that fund. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, that fund did not even invest in Adani ! So, there is no conflict here !

  5.  @praveenkumar760003  A person may have bought so many mutual funds. If one of the companies in any of the fund, comes under investigation, will that mean conflict of interest? The investor doesnt know, where fund manager is putting the money.

  6.  @praveenkumar760003  Lol! Do you expect, the investments of every SEBI member, to be advertised on their website, down to the portfolio mix of every mutual fund, that they ever owned? That's absurd, man. Any company, within any mutual fund might get investigated. Will you hold the investor responsible?

  7.  @praveenkumar760003  She did disclose. You are having problem with public disclosure vs internal disclosure. But tell me, how it is conflict of interest, when she doesn't hold any units (with no Adani shares in it), and she sold 5 years before the investigation?
