Govt did not build it. Private builders did.

Bihar and AP, need attention because they were split off from their revenue generating parts. Gujarat attracts investment on its own. Govt not doing anything special.

@siddheshbirje6050 Mumbai's original businessmen were Gujarati. They came during british era, when brits created Mumbai out of small islands. All original businessmen of Mumbai - Hiranandani, Azim Premjis and Tatas are Gujaratis of Hindu, Muslim, Parsi religions. Mumbai economy itself created by gujaratis during British era. maharashtra got it for free, after split of Bombay Presidency

Repurpose the building as a tech park. Shift some of the tech companies from Bengaluru to this building. Or move some textile factories here. Or build a university.

@SM-ih3go Gujarat behind in industrialization? Gujarat per capita income is higer than MH. MH per capita income is mainly due to Mumbai. Eastern MH is suffering drought. But dry Kutch is having good agriculture incomes. Mumbai was already developed even before independence. What did Maharashtra state govt do? Other than sugarcane freebies? Original Mumbai businesses are Gujarati - whether Hindu and Muslim and Parsi. From Hiranandani to Azim Premji to Tatas.

@scratch-9097 Why does Modi need to attend? What is the Chief Minister for?
7
@mrunalagashd5277 Gujarati are enterpreneurial ppl. Mumbai created by them only. Marathi fishermen were living in Mumbai originally. It was island.
6
@भारतीयहिंदू1 Marathi are not paying more taxes. Mumbai is paying. There is a difference between Mumbai and Maharashtra. Take out Mumbai from Maharashtra, then what is left? Then, the average is much worse than Gujarat. Gujarat is doing well, even without a big city like Mumbai. That shows the real strength of Gujarat.
6
@SM-ih3go They came long back, before Maharashtra was created from Bombay Presidency. Everyone else is going to Mumbai because of what they have created. Visit Ahmedabad and ride the BRTS - bus rapid transit. You will feel like metro but in a bus. Beautifully done. Lowest crime rates. Much less congested too.
4
@SM-ih3go They already do. Marathis should learn from them. You are enjoying fruits of Gujarati's hard work. 😂😂😂

@भारतीयहिंदू1 Kirloskar also setup in Bombay Presidency. Maharashtra state govt still not in picture. Malai British infra ka khaa rhe the.

Diamond industry is not about making diamonds. It's about cutting them and making jewelery. it doesn't matter, whether diamond is natural or not.
3
@भारतीयहिंदू1 Dude. I am talking about GDP per capita of a state. Not total GDP or the urban population. And the original topic was Gujarati contribution to Mumbai, which can't be denied, just because Mumbai is part of Maharashtra today.
3
@भारतीयहिंदू1 Just because Ambani is in Maharashtra doesn't mean there is something special about Maharashtra. It means Maharashtra is lucky to have Gujaratis like Ambani, who came long ago, during Bombay Presidency period. There was no Maharashtra at that time.

@manjit2861 Bhai, naukri pe sleep tu karta hoga. Sochne ki baat nhi hai. Kaam karne waale log, kidhar bhi kaam karenge. Nitthale, toh Bengaluru mein bhi sote hain !
2
@jojyjohn7496 Yeah. Them as well. But Bangalore is more congested at the moment.
2
What taxpayer money? Diamond traders, themselves built from private money
2
@parulkumar8606 This is the correct statement.
2
@भारतीयहिंदू1 Accha business environment, Gujarat mein bhi hai. I have nothing against Maharashtra. I was responding to ppl, who said, Gujarati are anti-business or lazy in Gujarat. That is totally wrong. Literally, everyone in Gujarat has business mindset. Gujarati are not jealous of Marathis. But it seems ppl are jealous of Gujarati, and hating Guajratis for political reasons. Stop doing that.
2
Maharashtra elections are over. Stop the propaganda.
2
@rednihb correct. British, Sindhi, Marwari are all migrants. But Sindhi, Marwari came after independence.
2
@scratch-9097 He is literally spending maximum money on Bihar, and you are crying about his physical presence in one particular summit? Summits will keep happening. First infrastructure is needed. And as long as bureacrats are doing their job and implementing projects, there is nothing to complain. Stop making excuses. Other parties wouldn't have given any money to Bihar.
2
@siddheshbirje6050 In Gujarat, big hotels do have permission to sell liquour. Only you can't take home.
1
@hiteshdsouza9615 You are contradicting yourself in ine statement. Lol !
1
@भारतीयहिंदू1 Pura India pay kar rha tha.
1
@भारतीयहिंदू1 Please tell me some famous Marathi buisness tycoons from before independence. Most that I remember are Gujarati. You are jealous of Gujarati, that's why all the hate.
1
@mrunalagashd5277 Sirf Gujarati ko thodi bol rhe hain, Surat shift karne ko. All Indians, wherever they are.
1
@mrunalagashd5277 Mumbai economy was actually built by Gujarati traders - Hindu, Muslim and Parsi - during British era. Only Marathis were Koli fishing community lived. Mumbai was set of islands which British filled with sand. And for 10 years, Maharashtra and Gujarat where one state. Mumbai should have gone to Gujarat.
1
@mrunalagashd5277 Gujarati traders created Mumbai. Mumbai should have gone to Gujarat when Gujarat and MH split.
1
@rednihb So, in 1830, was Mumbai part of Maharashtra? No. It was under British rule.
1
@AX-sq5vm So, much entitlement and arrogance for just paying 10₹ GST. Others are paying direct tax in lakhs, and not getting anything. Go earn money, than living on freebies.
1
@SC-dj1sn Then, stop with the propaganda of putting states against each other. Earlier, even this bare minimum wasn't happening.
