  20. The infrastructure spending creates jobs for poor segment of population. National Food subsidy, PM-KISAAN all are for poor only. The internship scheme is for unemployed. Mudra loans doubled to 20 lakhs for MSMEs. I see majority benefiting. 2-3% taxpayers are crying. What we need is to tax farm income. But that can only be done by states. And powerful state politicians are rich farmers, who won't tax themselves, and seek votes on caste basis. There lies the problem. State govts should cut petrol tax by taxing rich farmers.

Separate PSUs - one for track and station infra; one for trains; and one for catering. Allow private sector in last two areas - trains and catering. Then charge license fee from private. They should conduct investigation after maybe an year, when the short positions would have expired. Let Hindenberg suffer losses first. And also Hindenberg should disclose the volume of their short positions and it's expiry date. Then we retail investers can do a GameStop on them, around the expiry.

  37. More than Kavach, we need to convert single-track into double track. Why so little percentage of double tracks? That's why single tracks are overused, leading to faster wear and tear, and when trains of different directions are going on same track, chances of collision increase. But double-track conversion requires land acquisition, which is hindered by 2013 Act that made land acquisition harder in India.

  38. Still half of this income tax is paid by rich people, who are 0.6% of the population. Other half is paid by middle income people, that account for next 2.5%. Remaining 97% don't pay income tax. So, simply saying income tax collections> corporate tax collections, is misleading. And collections of both the taxes, has increased. The one section, which needs to pay taxes is - the small number of rich farmers, who earn in crores, while rest of the farmers, live hand to mouth. MSP procurement is cornered by few big farmers. Govt needs to make sure that, only small amounts are procurered from each farmer, at MSP. So, that everyone gets a fair chance.
