It is a misconception that caste system divided Indian society. It created society to begin with.
There was no society in the beginning. Only, a bunch of tribes, that were warring each other.
The caste system made multiple tribes, cooperate with each other, and start a civilization.
It did not change genetics. But preseved genetics.
Genetic change did happen, but happened more in upper castes, than lower castes, because of rules that, lower caste girl can marry upper caste boy, but not other eay round. So, genes of lower caste, moved up, but not the other way round.
