  1. It was not ridiculous. It actually simplified trade. Only problem is, US would print money to save it's own economy during downward economic cycle. That's when we sufferred. Ultimately, we need to reduce imports. Rupee Rouble trade will save dollars, but still money is going out as rupees, for buying oil. We should save that money by switching to renewable energy.

  2. Ditching dollar doesn't mean it's free. Same amount of rupees you are paying, except without the conversion.
