  1. Strategic reseves can only buffer for 2-3 weeks, not a lot. The real solution is reduce usage of fossil fuels, by using solar and biogas. Govt has taken steps to increase solar cell manufacturing. But biogas is a low hanging fruit, that the govt could actually push ahead. This would also reduce fertilizer imports. Look into the SATAT scheme. There are some issues to be ironed out. Unfortunately, geopolitical headwinds have come at the wrong time.

  2. What enemies? Houthis are non-state actors. Middle east countries and India are on same page, regarding the Gaza issue i.e. pro-Israel. Houthis are supported by Iran.
