Whatever happens, legal MSP should never be given. It will destroy the finances of the country. Crop diversification must encouraged as much as possible. More avenues to sell, and improved storage should be created, which is what the reforms were about. The reform were deliberately opposed, to put blame on BJP, as it was forced to do export bans, to protect middle class consumers, while hurting farmers whose votes were lost in Maharashtra.

@faradmodi9197 First, learn difference between write-off and waive-off, and then talk. In write-off banks got money to save them. Not Corporates. They still had to pay the loans, and recovery done under IBC, by selling their assets. And please ask who gave the loans, in the first place. UPA did, and kept hiding them. MSP is wrong policy. Causing wastage.

@archiem9926 I wish opposition were talking of enterpreneurship. They are focused on caste census and reservations in private sector. Basically, when somebody becomes an enterpreneur, he must hire from specific castes, and not on basis of skills he requires.

@DataCrusade1999 And what use is caste census? What will it be used for? I don't think the left has any good ideas. I think we need to focus on mandatory school education to all, which is responsibility of states. More manufacturing jobs. Energy independence to save money for freebies. One idea, I just got is, give some reservations to people who have worked in blue-collar infrastructure jobs, for 5-6 years, to help them move up the value chain.

You and opposition are cherry picking. So many new unicorns and billionaires created in the last 5 years. First woman billionaire Falguni Nayyar of Nayka. Don't get tunnel vision from opposition propaganda.

@RA-qz4cf They were spending on weddings even in the past. And they created jobs in India and fed poor people too.

@RA-qz4cf Ever hear of Lakshmi Nivas Mittal. He spent money more money on his daughter's wedding in France, rather than India.

@DataCrusade1999 Don't be so naive. It will cause jealousy and even civil war between castes. And CEOs may not always be right. Often CEOs just want tax cuts without reciprocating in terms of jobs, as the CEA mentioned recently. Govt has to make policies for all stakeholders, not just CEOs. It's a balancing act, and everyone can't be adamant about their demands. The govt is not fully wedded to trickle down. It believes in infrastructure to help create jobs and improve logistics. All these have immediate effect on poor. It's not trickle down. But the bottom up way of cash handout, doesn't work in an informal heavy, broken supply-chain country like India. It only causes inflation.
