  3. Stop being alarmist. You can still import specialized laptops for research. It is only personal use laptops, which will be affected. And foreign companies can still assemble the same thing in India.

  4. We can't call this licence raj. Foreign companies can still setup local manufacturing. The idea is you make in India, even if it is more expensive, than importing. And imports for research have no restrictions. Only the mass sales personal laptops will be affected.
