  1. Sugarcane is the culprit. Water-guzzling sugarcane is killing agriculture of other crops and hurting most if the farmers. Few big farmers benefit from sugarcane subsidies and MSPs. We need to change crops to less water intensive ones, and implement market reforms to get better prices.

  2. ​ @mayur.q Maratha farmers are poor because few sugarcane farmers are taking all the water, and other farmers are affected. Stop growing sugarcane in Maharashtra. Grow other crops which use less water. Implement farm reforms to get better prices without subsidy. When will you understand!
