@sbaar8085 Sikkim is the fastest growing state in India. They benefited from being part of India. As they don't have to worry about anyone invading them. And Sikkim has good percentage of Hindu Nepalis, who were discriminated in the past. All that stopped. Whereas, Bhutan expelled Hindus. Yet India went and defend their border, with Indian soldiers.

@sbaar8085 Kashmir also developing after removal of Article 370. Highways, bridges and train connectivity, has helped them. Historically, Kashmiri traders came to mainland India to sell their wares. Now, Kashmir is better integrated. Local industries got better markets. Kashmiri get jobs in IT sector.

Don't misquote Modi. Modi meant, no one crossed into confirmed Indian territory. Clashes happened in areas of overlapping claims. India did have success, in pushing China out of all finger points at Pangong, and also from Galwan. Negotiations are for Gogra Hotsprinhs and Depsang Plains.

@sbaar8085 Sikkim joined India due to fear of China invading them. Like they did with Tibet. And Indian built on the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which creates Unity in diversity. Not on some type of Sino-fication and Han culture imposition.

@Jkl62200 Sikkim would have lost its identity and culture, if it was part of China. Sikkim is ruled by a person of Sikkim ethnic origin. Whereas Tibet is ruled by a Han CCP administrator. And comparing growth rates, China opened it's economy in 1978, but before that they were poorer than India. And Sikkim became part of India in that era. India also started growing in 90s and 2000s onwards. And today, India is the fastest growing country in the world.

Don't twist the PM's words. Intrusion means crossing official borders. That didn't happen. But in the disputed overlapping area of the LAC, China built bunkers in violation of 1993 and 1996 agreements.

@achillesz7258 China is indeed like Russia is to Ukraine. China is a landgrabber. They invaded Tibet, and want to control Tibetan Buddhism. And Bhutan and Ladakh are the last free areas of Tibetan Buddhism. We never wanted Tibet in our territory. We always saw Tibet as an independent country, with hybrid Indo-Chinese culture. Tibetan script is also similar to Indian scripts i.e. abugida style, not hieroglyphs. We came into contact with China, only after China invaded Tibet in 1959. Before that we only knew Tibet.

Bhutan should not be cowed down, to bully China. They should destroy these villages. And invite India to deal with any Chinese retaliation.
