  1. This case is not about men and women. It is about corruption and protection of the principal by the police and govt. That angle should not be forgotten.

  2. Correct. There is the case of Aruna Shanbag, a nurse in Mumbai, who was raped by a Valmiki. Shanbag spent 2 decades in vegetative state, before passing away. Whereas, that Valmiki guy, was let off, and he led a happy married life. If the caste had been reversed, then SC/ST act would have been applied!
