  1. I sincerely, think biogas plants are useful solution for both gas and fertilizer needs. The fertilizers are made from chemicals like N,P,K,urea. These are absorbed by crops for producing food and crop structure, and then animals excrete out these chemicals after utilising part of the energy of the food. Recovering these from all bio-excreta and crop biomass, is helpful as we are just recycling the same nutrients for living beings. Burning cow dung cakes, destroys valuable chemicals, for the sake of utilising just the energy. Decomposing them into biogas and biomanure, is helpful in separating the energy in methane, while rest of the chemicals can be reused as fertilizer.
