  1. Zia might have harmed Pakistan more, but Musharraf harmed Indo-Pak relations more. Vajpayee 's bus diplomacy was a significant gesture. Imagine, how South Asia would have been, had that initiative succeeded. Vajpayee would have been re-elected. Terror attacks would have been less, which means less polarization in India. No leftist UPA, and 15 years under the vision of reformist Vajpayee, would have ushered so much economic prosperity, in an integrated South Asia.
