  2. Dear Shekhar sir. I would like your science editors to talk about Coal to liquid technology, on Pure Science. Fischer -Tropsch process was invented in Nazi Germany to produce petroleum from coal, and now used in South Africa. Originally, the technology was polluting and produced double the CO2 than regular coal plants. But newer CO2 sequestration technology can prevent CO2 escape to atmosphere. The price of petrol produced thus, is a bit costlier, but cheaper than today's insane levels. I believe India can use its vast coal reserves to reduce oil imports.
