They can atleast handover MSP procurement to state govts. Then every state can prioritise crops that are most profitable, to sell in open market. Central procurement is causing moral hazard and some have become entitled. And freebies for those entitled farmers, is hurting industry.

Raghuram Rajan said something similar last year, and he was disproved. We will get more growth, provided reforms are done.

They are both same. License Raj was the real cronyism. And UPA govt had far more cronyism, because if which banks were riddled with bad loans, which were evergreened for 8 years.

Engg colleges are a waste now. Better to directly join some insurance company, as intern.

Liberalization should have been done in 1985. We were forced because we ran out of foreign exchange, and our only trading partner was in shambles. We were forced to open up, and that made us grow.

@manjulashanmugasundaram706 Both are bad. The only good combo is social welfare with capitalism. Govt doesn't interfere with market forces, but provides safety net for the individual.

@atherzaidi5871 Linking Guptaji's views with his caste is very low of you. Shekhar Gupta is a true liberal, who has also criticised BJP for its social policies. If you think, he is biased towards businesses, then you need to wake up. Capitalism is the only thing that works. For that matter, Arvind Kejriwal is also a baniya, and yet he peddles freebies like a socialist. Instead of targeting baniyas, try to become enterpreneur and create jobs, than asking govt to give you a secure govt job, where you don't have to do anything.

@ghanshyamjoshi587 Actually, petrol tax should be cut by reducing the inefficiency in farm and food subsidies. And bringing farm laws, will raise the farmers income, and then rich farmers should also be taxed.

Absolutely, correct. Moment BJP attempts any reforms, people will cry cronyism, fascism etc. Real cronyism is in agriculture where big farmers are getting all loan waivers and capturing givt procurement, while small farmer has to destroy his produce, because he can't sell outside the district mandi.
