To attack the SEBI chairman reeks of desperation. Maybe, their short positions are expiring. So, they want to cause some crash, to make money.

@shantanudutta1539 I said SEBI. I didn't say anything about Adani. I don't care about Adani. Dragging SEBI chairperson with distant associations, to create suspicion, exposes Hindenberg's desperation.

@SagnikSanyal88 Short selling is not wrong. But short-seller influencing others to sell their shares, so that they can make money, is wrong. Shares falling on their own, because of fundamentals is different from falling due to a scare.

That's like saying, all the people who are trading, should never join SEBI. SEBI chief didn't have dream that, 8 years later, some Hindenberg would make accusation on a fund that she bought 2 years before joining SEBI, because some random company, allegedly routed money through that fund.

@elliotalderson2007 How can you repeat same allegations without proof? Are you blind? She doesn't have any stakes, and she has recused herself whenever there was conflict of interest. SEBI has lot of people other than the chairman, to do investigation.

Her husband is not with the real estate part of Blackstone. So, she couldn't have benefited from the REIT permission given to Blackstone.

@kris9164 Adani was being investigated by SEBI. 23 out of 24 cases had been investigated. But Hindenberg also has skeletons, and received a showcause notice from SEBI. Why did they lose their shit for that, and do counter charge on SEBI chairman. Literally, everything in the latest claim, is deliberate links between events separated in time. Accusing Adani is one thing. Accusing SEBI and it's chairman is another.

@shailkins20 As per disclosure, they redeemed their fund units in 2018. Perhaps, Adani might have been a co-investor, and usually one investor doesn't know, who the other investors might be. Usually, one only gets to know where the money is invested, and atleast at that time, they say, as per their friend Anil Ahuja, the fund didn't invest in Adani companies. And Adani's share prices started rising after 2019, and mostly during pandemic.

@kris9164 You have problem in comprehension of English. She has refuted the allegations of investment in Adani. And SEBI board has confirmed about her disclosures. Hindenberg is distracting from replying to its showcause notice.

Every human is prone to corruption. That doesn't mean everyone will file case on everyone and we will spend our entire awake time, investigating each other on suspicion. Proof is needed.
