So, what is the solution according to you? Should some Kukiland be created? If yes, where? In the hills or in the valley? And what percentage of Manipur and according to which census? These are some hard questions that need answering. Mind you Kuki population has grown fastest over the years. There must be illegal immigration happening. And why should the Meiteis who are already cramped in 10% of the total area, by law, be made to sacrifice more? I think some NRC should be done, Chins who came from Myanmar, should be separated from the Kukis, and sent back to Myanmar. I think this is the only just solution.

@BharatThatIsIndia I think it was always in BJP's interest to make sure the govt completed full term. That's why, I wouldn't blame BJP for "widening" the fault lines.

 @YakuzaSRC He never spoke about religion of any tribe, in his logic. Don't twist his comment. Mizoram and Chin state are ethnic homelands of Kukis. Manipur is ethnic homeland of Meiteis.

So, what should we do? Military action against all militias? Or some compromise agreement? Though, I must say politics by national parties in trying to play on the religious angle, has caused a lot of distraction. BJP trying to play Hindu identity of Meiteis and Congress playing on the Christian identity of Kukis. And this false religious angle, then plays into hands of international mischief makers to eager to create a narrative.

@JabberWokey Nagas and Kuki had clashes all through 1990s and had recent clashes in 2020. There is no Christian bhaichara here. These are independent tribes, and religion is just a coincidence.

@BharatThatIsIndia Biren Singh can go. But it's not as simple as you think. Kukis and Meiteis MLAs had a nice show of unity in the BJP govt. And BJP was just too happy to showcase that as a success of forming their first ever govt there. But just one High Court order, exposed the facade of unity. I don't think Modi-Shah gave us the problem. They inherited a problem, that they were ignorant about and we all got played by the tribes in question. Ignorance is why, I think Modi didn't go address them. Coz, honestly, who would he address there? I honestly don't see, what BJP would gain from this. I am pretty sure, they were flummoxed by this civil war. I am curious to know the history behind the court order. I think, once Biren Singh is gone, the militias must surrender unconditionally, and then society needs to be reset. And then all measures like protecting lands of Meiteis or removal of any Chins etc be done.

@BharatThatIsIndia Tell me one thing. What would Modi-Shah benefit from the HC order. We believe all is good in NE, until something bad happens. Does that mean all was good before BJP? I don't think so. I think there was never anything good happening, irrespective of BJP or Congress. Nobody gets credit for anything good, because there probably wasn't any to begin with. Just a coincidence that a ticking time bomb exploded under a BJP govt. Would have been no different if a Congress govt had been in place. These guys vote, whoseover is in power in Delhi. Not because they like anyone.

@BharatThatIsIndia Was it majoritarian politics when Nagas and Kukis were clashing all through the 1990s, or recently in 2020? Congress was the one who first imposed AFSPA there. Remember Irom Sharmila's hunger strike for a decade? That happened before BJP. Then what type of politics was happening, in the earlier clashes? There was no muhabbat ki dukaan there. So, good attempt. But people who look at the history aren't fooled by narrow cherry-picked narrative.

@iamdanyboy1 All Indians? Then why do they have Inner Line Permits and restrictions on non-tribals etc ? Let's remove these too, then. Because all Manipuris are allowed to settle anywhere in India, without any restrictions.
