Comments by "Raju" (@rajx7120) on "India has always been Hindu, but Hindu Rashtra doesn't figure in the ancient texts : Wendy Doniger" video.
@maheshdocherla I can tolerate Shekhar Gupta's centrist political views on many issues. And I personally have some non-rightist views like I don't want a controversy at Gyanvapi. But this is different! This is trying to rewrite our history and culture. Manipulate and mutilate. Some foreigner who has no link with our culture, telling us she knows my religion better than 1 billion Hindus, this is nonsense being allowed by ThePrint. And then leftist morons use labels like bhakt, if we call out their non-sense. This is not acceptable.

Not renewing, next month! As a protest against this nonsense interview !!

@maheshdocherla Not all Hindus believe in same thing, doesn't mean there are differences to the point of "Ram was not born in Ayodhya". Differences are like, which legend for celebrating Deepavali, or Naraka Chaturdasi. Different gods. Different sampradaya etc. Nothing as glaring as what she does. Such mutilation is used by iconoclastic leftists to virtue signal us.

If you want my subscription back, then arrange interviews with the acharyas of Sringeri, Kanchi, Udupi mutts, mutts of Vishistadvaita, Ahobila Mutt, Ramakrishna mutts, Lingayats and many others etc, and then I will revisit ThePrint.

@sugeetsunder7654 Correct. You will disagree with all of them. Rajiv may not technically correct, but without him I would not have been cautious of these mistranslators roaming around. Rajiv also invited experts like Nityananda Misra. Watch Misra's videos.

@sugeetsunder7654 You are lucky to have had the exposure to all these schools. Unlike many others facing an onslaught of left propaganda. Regarding difference of interpretations between these schools and philosophies, it's not political or egoistic. These folks think from first principles. I am sure you understand. These are healthy differences and unique viewpoints that can be appreciated independently. The attitude is no different from a string theorist debating with a quantum mechanical theorist. It is worth knowing, each one's basis and style of thinking. I don't trust Wendy Doniger to have that attitude. And she, with her limited and linear thinking, on a different set of principles gets disproportionate publicity, than our natives, who preserved traditions for millennia, out of pure dedication and no personal gains. Let ThePrint call 10 of our natives first, then I will entertain Wendy Doniger.

@Achintyanath There are different sects and Sampradayas. All these people she mentioned are based on Vedanta, which is the largest tradition. And Hinduism never prohibited non-vegetarian food. Vegetarianism is a recommendation for lay people and a must for spiritual minded people. So, all these people mentioned are right. If you belong to a different tradition/sect, then that's a different matter, and again they will have their own power spiritual leaders, who are credible for their sect. But Wendy Doniger is not an expert in any tradition at all.

So, Hindus have been practicing Hinduism wrongly for the last 3000 years then? Sorry, Print. This was the heights !! Cancelling my subscription as a protest !!

Same here! Already I am angry at the recent beheading in Udaipur, and ThePrint thought this is best time to interview this chudail !

Then that won't be India !

@nv9991 Devdutt abuses, when you disagree with him. Nityananda Misra called out many mistranslations and misinterpretation of Sanskrit in Pattnaik's books. And Pattnaik started abusing his brahmin caste, that brahmin are evil and only he is telling truth. He often called many people chudail etc on Twitter and then claims to be victim. Pattnaik actually doesn't know Sanskrit, to understand the scriptures. But writes randomly. Actually Pattnaik is student of this Wendy Doniger.

@sugeetsunder7654 Go to the mutt of a sampradaya that interests you. Learn from them as your guru. Many of these institutions are thriving precariously. We need to support them. Instead, leftists flush with money, are supporting people like Wendy Doniger and Pattnaik.

@altafnizamani5984 And then 5001 comes along and says, all are idiots committing shirk, and only I am right, and will impose my superiority on all of you, because I wrote a book that says so. And would threaten death, if you don't agree. And if someone says something against Muhammad, they lose their head.

@thestoic7315 I subscribed for some good people, like Ila Patnaik, Shekhar Gupta, Snehesh Alex Philip, and Sandhya Ramesh and recently Saurabh Mukherjee. Jyoti Malhotra is the problem.

@thestoic7315 Cancelled my subscription as a protest !!

@thestoic7315 I still respect Shekhar Gupta's attempt to be neutral, and objective. He probably did this in same vein. I don't think he personally subscribes to Wendy Doniger. But that doesn't mean, any nonsense can be allowed in the name of neutrality! I am not stupid, and this is my protest.
