  2. Fares are already high for men, to support free ride for women. So, men are not riding at all. Freebies have broken BMTC. And women are ultimately paying higher petrol price and milk price, to fund freebie And private buses will actually reduce fares. Because more operators will compete, based on demand and supply. They will try to earn through volumes. And fare hike is happening because petrol price is hiked by state govt for funding freebies.

  4. Tunnels won't help. We need to encourage use of public transport, and discourage use of cars. More tunnels, and elevated roads, encourage more cars and shift the choke point. Promote minibuses and feeder buses, so that people don't need to use cars and autos much.
