  1. BJP is not a fundamentalist party. It is a fundamental misconception! Hindutva ideology started as a reaction to growing Islamism in the subcontinent, and to unite Hindus, to defend themselves against radical Muslims. Indians wanted true secularism without appeasing Islamic radicals, which Congress failed at. And Modi didn't come to power in 2014, by promising Hindu Rastra, but promising to fix joblessness and high inflation, and safety from terror attacks. He fixed inflation, provided safety from terrorism, but has been struggling with job creation.
