@kaushalkumar5081 That electricity can come from nuclear also. I mentioned that already. And even if coal and petroleum is used, all the CO2 is produced in one place, with higher conversion efficiency, and that CO2 can be easily collected and used for industrial purposes. And Lithium is not the only metal suitable for batteries. We can have Aluminium-Air batteries too. Aluminium is much more abundant and easy to recycle than Lithium. And Aluminium batteries have longer range too.

@kirayoshikage90 No Aluminum mining is not polluting. Don't throw studf for the sake of opposition. It is far easily found as proper ore than Lithium that is found as trace mineral. Go back to school and read chemistry. Yes, public transport should be increased. But even that should be electric. Nuclear material extraction can be made safe, through protective equipment and machines. But it is not releasing CO2.
