Hindu unity across caste is need of the hour. Caste status i.e. varna was originally due to occupation, in feudal society. Now nobody is following their ancestral occupations. There is no need for varna status. Everyone can be made equal to brahmin, with all rituals open to everyone. This has been done in the past by Saint Ramanujacharya. Adi Shankara removed sectarianism and Ramanuja attacked casteism. We need to combine both their ideas.

@nnoor1715 If that was the case, then why did Islamic Sultans destroy all the temples, everywhere? Why are Hindu temples destroyed in Pakistan, every now and then? Why were Hindus attacked on Ram Navami in India, and in Bangladesh during Durga Puja on blasphemy accusations? Regressive ideas if Quran are the reason.

Look, the problem is secular parties have tried Muslim+caste vote formula, and kept doing socialist policies that wrecked our economy. High inflation, powercuts, poor infra and scams under UPA, made Hindus question this secular politics. Gujarat has good infra, and no powercuts, with BJP in power. Investment keeps coming to Gujarat. Hindus started feeling, Hindu unity is better, and gave BJP a chance. BJP focused on efficient welfare through Jan dhan account and Aadhar, while opposition kept crying Muslim in danger, through Modi 1.0. So, obviously Hindus bought the efficient welfare politics. MMS govt despite being leftist, performed badly on welfare. Meanwhile, opposition kept scaring Muslim into consolidating further, and Muslim consolidation actually causes Hindu consolidation. So, opposition tries to break Hindu consolidation by abusing Hindus on various festivals, calling it patriarchy, while ignoring the patriarcy among Muslims, which Hindus are not blind to. So, that backfires too. Moral of the story. Muslim consolidation+socialism has been shown the door, for good. The only way to improve Hindu-Muslim relations is, bring Uniform Civil Code, and that will make Hindus feel Muslims follow secular Indian laws, and not the Islamic Sharia. Hindus don't mistrust any other minority.

@anshuraj4277 Really? Just recently, Rakesh Tikait, went to Aurangzeb's tomb to pay respects, to woo Muslims. There you got the example.

@anshuraj4277 He will fight elections tomorrow. He has contested in past. But tell me, how is Aurangzeb relevant to a farmer leader? He was trying to get Muslim votes for future. And Aurangzeb was a tyrant. This can't be denied. He is equivalent to Hitler of India.

@anshuraj4277 Hindu sects do have founders. Just that they are gurus, nor prophets. The composers of Vedas do have names. Adi Shankara, Ramanuja, Madhwa, Gorakhnath, Sri Swaminarayan and many others are founders of their sects, and all together form Hinduism.

Until Muslims adopt Uniform Civil Code, and drop stuff like burqa, and drop idea of Ummah, there will be suspicion. Ince, these things are done then, religious votebank will become irrelevant. No Muslim ever thinks about issues like economy, while voting, and that's because of the feeling of being separate, created by separate civil laws.
