And what exactly did Jatt Sikh farmers do, other than eating up tax money for MSP procurement and electricity subsidy? Brahmin and baniya enterpreneurs are the one creating jobs that produce the taxes, which you eat up in the first place. It is the cross-subsidy cost of your free electricity, that is being borne by small businesses and manufacturing sector. You are pushing India into the feudal age and preventing industrialization.

@xxyz2023 Ever heard of a thing called credit score? Thise who have a record of paying on time, get lower interest rates. And farm loan waivers are often taken by the rich farmers, who are capable of paying back. A better way is to apply for crop insurance reimbursement under Fasal Bima Yojana, under which many small farmers have benefited. Big ones should pay.

No. It doesn't. Because welfare money is just redistribution of taxes. It is not the same as increasing the income of poor. That can only happen through job creation.

@xxyz2023 Where all will govt keep providing MSP? MSP has been increased every year, in the last 10 years. This nonsense don't work. Because ultimately, that support comes from the taxes, which nullifies. So, stop peddling this commie nonsense. And Coal India is producing record amount of coal. Adani's share is too less to blame him. GST is not the problem. Petrol tax, and wrong usage in bad subsidies is the problem.

@xxyz2023 Do you even know what ails Maharashtra farmers? They are growing water-guzzling sugarcane in a drought-prone region. And this sugarcane is encouraged by a gang of politicians, who control sugar mills, cooperative banks and engg colleges. This is the classic example of cronyism, that people aren't talking about. One crop gets all the water, and non-sugarcane farmers suffer. That's why Maharashtra farmers are taking their lives. The movement for farm laws, itself came from Maharashtra's Shetkari Sanghatana. Boy, you really need education.

@xxyz2023 Keep diverting the topic. I blamed bad agricultural policies, and the sugarcane lobby. And you want to put words in your mouth. Because you don't want solution. You just want blame game. And I never said, all farmers are rich. That shows you want to divert from the details. Not surprising, though.

@xxyz2023 BJP isn't perfect. Atleast not for my free market inclinations. But they are atleast encouraging crop diversification. Unlike Congress. Personally, I want govt to stop setting farm prices, cut petrol taxes, and let Farmer Producer Organisations set their own prices based on market demand-supply, with freedom to selll anywhere, and break the mandi monopoly. But going to that stage is too radical at the moment. So, BJP is just being practical and helping in the gradual transition. I would have been happy, if UPA had done that, during their 10 years. But Congress is hijacked by one royal family, which just wants to do commie populism to prop up the prince-in-waiting.

If RBI cuts rates, then foreign money will leave India to US, which is rated higher due to dollar hegemony. RBI has to wait till US Fed cuts rates. Farm reforms and modernization is of utmost importance.

@xxyz2023 You still mixing up loan write-offs with loan waivers? Still ignoring who gave the loans in first place and hid them for 7 years? If demand is low, then how are GST collections constantly rising? And your simplistic Keynesian demand priming, doesn't create jobs in India. It creates jobs in factories of China. The govt has rightly focused on incentivising setting up of factories in India through PLI scheme, and improving logistics through infra spending. All these has massively benefited the poorest. Regarding capacity, Purchasing Managers Index has been high for continuously 2 years. The reform needed is, to tax the evaders in the agricultural sector, who continue with their feudalistic old ways. So, that urban middle class doesn't have to foot the bill. All the help for MSME sector, should not be borne by 3% taxpayers. The big farmers must be brought under the tax net.

@xxyz2023 When banks don't report bad loans, that's how it gets hidden. And more loans are given to cover the existing loans, it's called evergreening. It was Raghuram Rajan, who said that most of the bad loans were given in 2006-08 period. He was the one who exposed the bad loans in 2015, on ordering an Asset Quality Review of the banks, and put various banks on PCA. It shows how poorly informed you have been. I am glad, you started asking the right questions, though.

@xxyz2023 What the video is reporting is the current scenario. Things go up and down in a cyclicap manner. You obviously don't give a damn, when things are going up. But the moment they gi down, you find opportunity to repeat your drivel. In a couple of months, things will again go up.

@pardeeptandon Are we living in 60s now? We are not in age of scarcity. Today, you are over charging the taxpayer, for producing excesss of the same crop. Brahmin have evolved and become job creators, and tax generators. Your history lesson is irrelevant now. Today's situation is reverse. On the other hand you and Punjab have stagnated after 1991. Rest of India is not willing to finance this literal tax loot. Casteism is also there between Jatt Sikhs and Dalit Sikhs as far as Canada, like Jaswinder Kaur honour killing case. And RSS is not taking my tax money. Don't compare charity and taxes. And they are the ones bringing back Dalit Sikhs converting to Christianity, back to Sikhism.

Input cost is high due to high petrol taxes, and these taxes are ironically used to pay for the MSP procurement. When they give the same money that was taken in the first place, instead of doing crop diversification and fixing supply-demand mismatch, then you can't blame rest of the economy. Farm reforms are needed.

@xxyz2023 BJP never defeated the NCP strongholds. The sugarcane lobby is still powerful.

@velmuruka3186 Talk about India. Even if a "corporate friendly western govt" subsidizes agriculture, then it's wrong. Expect Elon Musk to cut subsidies to corn farmers, for ethanol production, because that's actually consuming more energy than it produces. What is required is, proper market access and linking to the buyer, and growing according to demand. Subsidies cause overproduction, and overproduction cause a drop in prices, and then people say , subsidy not enough. Crop diversification and growing according to consumer demand is necessary. And growing crops in water-scarce areas is madness.

@bhikariman-sigmamale Well, it's a chicken and egg problem. Which to do first. Reducing trade deficit will take time.

@vargheseb8602 Yes. As a taxpayer, I am all riled up. It's my right to be so.
1
@xxyz2023 I pay taxes, and not the farmers. So, I should be listened to. You are being a Congi stooge. Why should few rich farmers get all the money, for growing excess of what's not in demand. Dare you!
1
@xxyz2023 BJP betrayed 85% farmers who supported the laws, to appease Punjabis who don't vote anyway. Perhaps, they did that, in light of the Khalistani threat, being fanned by external forces. But that doesn't mean, anyone in their right mind will support Congress, that wants agriculture to be broken, to the advantage of their chamchas embedded in the system.

Tax on petrol by Centre, goes towards MSP procurement. Tax on petrol by States, go towards your local freebies.
1
Until and unless we stop spending on freebies that are used by cross-subsidy cost to MSMEs and middle class consumer, don't expect any radical changes. Feudal minded cronies of socialist system, will keep blaming the industrialists and enterpreneurs who create jobs that fund taxes for most of the freebies, in the first place.
