  1. Opposition propaganda has made the govt defensive. Opposition misleads public on loan write-offs and conflates it with waivers. But govt doesn't clear the fact that, all these loans were given and evergreened during UPA era. Again opposition talks as if the common man is paying all the taxes, but reality is that only 3% people are paying all the direct taxes. Taxes and inflation are not the real problem, but unemployment which in turn was caused by the banking crisis inherited from UPA. Awareness needs to be created. But then haters are going to wallow in confirmation biases, and ignore actual data and expert opinion. I personally think, govt should cut petrol taxes and direct taxes as an indication of the success in other areas. Perhaps, govt can also do an anti-corruption crackdown to recover loan money siphoned during UPA era.
