India needs to implement economic reforms, asap to raise GDP growth rate from 7% (new Hindu rate, as you say), to 10%. The fact that we haven't developed political concensus on these, is also used by China to denounce the idea of democracy, which they blame as the reason for India being left behind. Either political parties need to come together, or voters have to get out of their biases, to encourage the parties they support, to support the reforms. In cases, like these, people and parties have to put national interests over immediate power games, and blame games. I don't know how they will achieve it, but creative politics is needed, whosoever it maybe from.

Jab govt, pichle 3 saal se MSP bada rahi thi, aur rice/wheat procurement bada rahi thi, tab inhe koi problem nahi thi. MSP dene ke liye paise kahan se aate hain? Humhare taxes mein se ! MSP ka bill, aur electricity subsidy ka bill, petrol se milne waale tax se zyaada hai. Govt should stop excess procurement. Isse itna paisa bachega ki, petrol pe tax hataya jaa sakta hai.
Tax lagate waqt aur reservations lagate waqt, koi janta se puchta hai, kya? Agar private pe MSP lagta hai, toh Govt procurement band karein.. Hum MSP do baar nhi denge : ek baari tax mein, aur phir bazaar mein khareedte waqt.

If I have 9 crore, why would I go to US, just to drive an Uber?
This is good for H1B people, who can use their savings from US salary, to cut short the 20-years wait time. Like if someone saves 70,000 dollar every year, invests them, so that it grows to 1 million dollar, in best case 8 years, then they can use this to get green card in another 3 years. 9 years saved. The more salary you earn, the faster it will be.

Fadnavis is a casualty of BJP-SS split. If they got the Shinde faction to defect, then the faction had to be appeased, by making Shinde as CM.
At the end of the day, India is a caste-ridden country. BJP believes Hindutva can make people forget their caste identity, and prioritize their Hindu identity. But reality is different.
Only urbanization can dissolve caste identity.
And we still hate cities. Congress has played a good game of pitting rural areas against cities, by opposition to farm reform laws, opposing manufacturing, and peddling rural freebies at the cost of urban development.
Land acquisition was already thwarted, by an Amendment in 2013, and with Modi backing out of a correction in 2015, when Rahul shouted suit-boot sarkar.
It's a longer game of slowly opposing every reform by the Congress. And BJP has not countered that.
Congress does not need to do anything, but maintain status quo of the existing problems and pretend to be saviour of one from another, without solving them. The guy who wants to solve it, will always find it difficult.

Workers are getting a wage hike indirectly, from all the increasing freebies.
You should add value of free electricity, free buses, free cycle, scooters, 10 kg ration, to whatever salary, they are getting.
Basically, govt took the money from the factory owners in the form of higher cost of electricity and fuel, due to cross-subsidy, and gave them to their employees.
Because obviously, our socialist khatakhat thinking is that, if energy costs were lower for the factory, it wouldn't be passed on as higher wages, or creation of new jobs, that could increase higher wages due to competition for labour.

This video started off badly, but ended well. Starting off to say, that these killings are normal baseline level, was not music to my ears. No killing is justified.
Only around 2-3rds of the total time, the changed circumstances were discussed, i.e. absence of Article 370, improvement in tourism, and the headline grabbing attempt by terrorists.
Measures must be taken to track these small terrorists, even if it means curtailing individual privacy.
Monitor the internet, suspend WhatsApp and allow only SMS which can be tracked, and other such measures.

Even if historical Bengaluru was created by Kannadigas, the modern Bengaluru economy has contributions of all Indians. Without migration of talented people from across the country, nobody would be talking about this city. Even in the past, Central govt poured money into institutions like HAL, IIM, ITI, IISc, all the defence cantonments etc. At that time, there was not much gap in taxes of North and South. Perhaps North had higher share.
So, one can argue that Karnataka should return all that historically funding from Centre, adjusted for inflation, if they start claiming Bengaluru only for Kannadigas.

@pardeeptandon Nobody is friend or foe in geopolitics. Everyone is looking for themselves. If China throws money at them, they will dance to its tune. And much of the problems are happening because India is being assertive that China doesn't like. If India were weak and submissive like during UPA, ignoring border incursions rather than facing them, surely China might pat us on the back and maybe, magically there would be peace as vassal of China. But do you really want that kind of peace, which is not on your terms? Where your manufacturing sector and defence was compromised as it was during UPA? Well, no self-respecting country, that values it's sovereignty would. I know you are going to say, look our imports from China is still rising. It's not easy to win back a lost advantage. Atleast our exports are rising, unlike during UPA, where everything was in a state of limbo !

While I understand that mainland Indians have flawed understanding of Manipur by viewing it through a religious prism, why are news media not highlighting the tribal nature of the conflict?
Also, why do people talk as if only Meitei and Kuki live in Manipur. Second largest group is Nagas.
In the past, Kuki and Nagas had clashes, as recent as 2018-19, I think.
It was from ThePrint's web article, that I came to know, that Nagas too think, that Kukis are outsiders, brought by British as a buffer between Nagas and Meiteis.
Essentially, Kukis are like dhobi ka kutta, na ghar ka na ghat ka. Between Nagas in the hills and Meiteis in the valley.
While, you have covered this in your web articles, I haven't seen you speak in your videos.
And it's not like Congress wants to fix the mess. They would like to somehow use the same misunderstanding of "religious" strife to their advantage for their political narrative of muhabbat ki dukaan, when the issue is more of a political and tribal nature.
People have all but forgotten the fact, it was all started by the High Court judgement on giving ST status to Meiteis.

Agar Hindu dharm mein hinsa ka koi sthaan nhi hai, toh Shivaji Maharaj kyon lade Aurangzeb se? Kya woh Hindu nhi the, aapke hisaab se?
Kya adharm ke khilaaf ladne ke liye nhi kaha tha, Shri Krishna ne Arjun ko?
Aapko Pran Pratishtha karne ka avsar nhi mila, toh rajneeti pe utar aaye? Pran pratishtha ko lekar, aapki baat par samarthan kiya tha. Lekin is baat par nhi. Aapka niji swaarth dikhaayi de rha hai !
Hindu dharm aaj bhi khada hai, kyonki, adharm ke khilaaf hinsa ka sthaan hai.
Jis Shivji ka chitra, Rahul Gandhi dikha rhe the, usme woh trishul aur aur unka trinetra, dharm ke liye hinsa ka prateek hai. Agar is baat se aap sehmat nhi, toh aapka Shankaracharya ka pad chod dena chahiya.

@manjunathreddy9786 It may look like it is helping. But it is not. Subsidy towards food cultivation of specific crops, distorts the market. How does govt know, what type of food, people want to eat? People need all type of nutrients - rice and pulses and oilseeds too. As people become rich, they reduce rice and carbs. They eat more protein. If govt gives subsidy to rice farmers, then everyone produces rice and very less pulses and oilseeds are produced which we import. Excess rice gets wasted. Also, people eating more of the cheap rice, will suffer from obesity. So, we pay more taxes and pay for import also, and suffer poor health also. Instead of subsidy, govt should make sure that every farmer is able to sell to as big a market as possible. Then farmer will know, what is in demand, and produce as much rice as needed. As much pulses as needed. So, no wastage happens. And the money you save can go into funding healthcare.

@MasterNPC-yp4on She may not have done public disclosure, but she did disclosure to SEBI itself, when she joined as just a board member in 2017.
She rose to be a full time member, and then later as Chairperson.
At the time of joining, she transferred all the fund units to her husband in Singapore. And the fund never invested in Adani group.
Also, she redeemed the units in 2018, when the fund manager Anil Ahuja, their friend left the fund, and this is before Adani shares started rising in 2020, and 4 years before she became Chairperson.
So, there is no conflict of interest.

Come on, if Rahul with 99 seats can show aggression, then Modi with 240 seats can also show aggression. Rahul has lied a lot on Agnipath, MSP and loan write-offs. BJP has not countered his lies, in previous term, thinking that, people will vote for the good work they have done. But now that it is proven that his propaganda works, them obviously BJP will try to counter it. UPA left the economy in a mess, in 2014. The Modi govt has faced one challenge after another, to get this country back on track. Our opposition has opposed every reform, and even tried to create anti-vaccine propaganda during pandemic. It is good that BJP is getting it's act together. 10 years of hard work, can't be allowed to go waste on one repetitive liar.

BJP did freebies as a last resort. Unlike Congress. The whole demand for freebies increased due to distress caused by pandemic, and economy not recovering in time for the 2024 general elections.
The pandemic hurt the incomes of poorer sections. And BJP instead of doing khatakhat for short-term relief, took up a long-term growth-oriented plan of building logistics and infra, which required more tax money.
Now, this might sound cruel, but this policy prevented hyper-inflation, that rest of the world saw, and is responsible for revival of India's GDP growth today. Because infra spending has GDP multiplier of 3x, whereas freebie has multiplier of 0.95x.
What we needed to do, was farm reforms and labour reforms, that would have created jobs faster, and would have reduced subsidy burden, which could, then have been passed off as tax cuts.
Congress spotted the opportunity to oppose reforms, and peddle khatakhat, because avg person doesn't understand macro-economic effects, of khatakhat, and importance of investments.
BJP has done a deft balancing of politics and economics. And we should also appreciate the deft diplomacy too, that has enabled us to get Russian oil, and also earn from refining it. Despite all the economic shocks, India's budget has only increased. Govt should be lauded for maintaining fiscal space for all our growth oriented policies, and still leave room for a few freebies.

@amibangladesh7512 Mukti Bahini didn't come out of thin air.
It was created by RAW, by training East Bengali refugees who escaped into India. Indian Army was already conducting secret operations, without Pakistan knowing anything.
We even banned our airspace, long before December, to stop free movement of Pakistani airforce. So, Pakistan started sending it's military through Sri Lanka, via passenger aircraft.
But India did not declare war, while conducting it's secret operations.
It is Pakistan who declared war, when they finally understood India was already taking action, by creating a diversion on the Western border.
India planned the operation of bombing the Chitagong harbour, and planned the destruction of Karachi naval base, to prevent Pakistan navy from operating. These were some brilliant achievements of India, without which you would not have succeeded at all.
You owe us big time ! Not 20%. Practically 100%. We were incharge of the whole operation, while you were scurrying for cover.

What a joke of a video. Brahmin, in most places don't influence elections, other than UP, Uttarakhand and Bihar. And they are as divided just like any other caste. In Telengana, many brahmin support TRS. In Karnataka, some support JDS. In Tamil Nadu, they don't even vote. Most are leaving the country, as education opportunity, is dwindling in this country. And most opposition parties are caste based, catering to specific votebanks, which don't give space to brahmin.

@supasapien Then how is a upper caste student in the city, who has never met a Meena in the small town, stopping him from studying? And if they are scoring good marks now, then that is proof that discrimination against them has reduced. 20 years ago, in my college, Meena were roaming around in Tata Safari, and expensive car back then. Using Nokia 6600 and 9030, best phones at that time. All general category people were using Nokia 1100 or 2300.
If one group has progressed, they should allow others to rise. These groups should be moved to OBC, so that others can benefit. You can't forever blame general category for everyone's problems. Own responsibility, and let benefits reach everyone.

Mr. Kejriwal, the Pandits, who were killed recently, were actually provided jobs by the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, appointed by Modi government. These people were attacked at work. Lt Governer Manoj Sinha, restored properties of 600 Pandits in the valley.
On the other hand, you delayed regularization of Pandit teachers in Delhi, by challenging High Court order. Stop playing politics. If you care so much, acknowledge their genocide in 1990s, and apologize for calling Kashmir Files as "jhooti movie" .
These attacks are happening because terrorists can't digest the resettlement of Pandits. The attackers were radicalized by jihadi elements on the internet. And you will be the first to criticize, if any action is taken against jihadi groups.
Your party has a jihadi named Amanullah Khan, who took out a rally calling for "Sar tan se juda" . So, stop shedding crocodile tears. You are not fooling anyone.

We need farm laws, to enable tomato growers to sell outside mandi. The mandi cartels are exploiting the farmer who has to take his produce to only the district mandi by law, He can't even go to mandi of nearby district, if that is closer. And he is denied good prices by the arhtiyas, who favour the big farmers. So, he is forced to destroy the tomatoes on the way back.
Private retail chains, need to be connected to tomato farmers directly, so that they can get better prices than the zero price they are getting.
Now don't say Adani Ambani to mislead. There is D-Mart, Big Basket, ITC and so many buyers, who want to buy directly. Farmer is being deprived of buyers by shitty mandi monopoly, and end consumer is facing shortage.

@nothing9220 About hunger index, it is just wrong headlines. If look at details, we actually improved. The headlines talk about rank which declined because more countries were added. But the score actually improved or atleast stayed the same. The GHI score in 2019 was 30.3, in 2020, it was 27.1, and in 2021 it was 27.3. Lower, the better. But media reported the rank dropping from 97 in 2019, to 107 in 2020, because more countries were added. And the scores don't mean starvation, but stunting, due to lack of protein. The new farm laws would have addressed that due to better linkage with market demand, but rice growing vested interest of Punjab, blocked it.

@shaungeorge6320 You are wrong. It's not about employment being higher in US. It's about formal economy being higher in percentage, there. In India, for decades, our socialist politicians and left-wing economists glorified informal economy, where no social security is there, and delivering services becomes harder.
Moreover, agricultural income is not taxed in India. Big landlords evading massive taxes through this route. And imposing taxes, leads to blackmail at Red Fort. So, to compensate for fall in direct taxes, govt increases indirect taxes and consumption is hurt.
Infact, agricultural lobbies prevent improvements, hinder land acquisition, and are pampered with cross subsidy of electricity, making it expensive to setup and run industries that can create jobs.
And you know why Bangladesh went ahead? Because India's shitty labour laws, restrict size of a factory to 100 employees, whereas Bangladeshi factory is atleast 1000 employees. And many of these factories are owned by Indians. These are the real problems. Socialist policies and their lobbies, and it's glorifiers in Congress and Communist party, are guilty of killing industry.

@shaungeorge6320 GDP growth was decreasing because of structural weakness caused by crippled banking sector. Irresponsible loans during UPA era, created the NPA crisis. Infrastructure projects were delayed, which crippled the NBFCs like ILFS that were funding it. In the last 2 years, Modi government has worked on reducing NPAs. Moreover, there are not enough private sector banks, which can lead to competition and improvement. Them we have cooperative banks which have heavy political interference by regional politicians, leading to collapse stories like Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative banks.
Without a healthy banking sector, you can't have growth.
And Congress deserves blame for retrospective taxation, which killed Nokia's mobile manufacturing plant in TN, and crippled Vodafone and Cairns Energy. Cairns was into exploring oil and gas un India, but that received a setback.

Guptaji, things are changing. Indian API manufacturing is recovering. All our API companies have been undergoing capex expansion in the last 1 year, and production capacity will increase soon. The immediate challenges are high commodity prices, especially oil, due to global inflation caused by dollar printing. Also, Chinese companies increased API costs, to punish our generic manufacturers, after we launched PLIs for APIs. It's a multi-pronged challenge, and govt is taking the right steps. Switching to EVs, to reduce oil imports, mining reforms to increase production of aluminium and coal etc will yield overall good results in the coming days.

Do you consider the fact, that a lot of the wealth in South, is created by many Northerners ? A lot of students and engineers from North, earn money and spend money locally in South. This generates GST to the states. Also, this puts pressure on property prices, and creates construction boom.
If these people go back to North, and work from home, then all that spending will happen in North only. Property prices in South will drop, and tier-2 cities of North will prosper. So, it's not the state, but people who create wealth. It's not one-sided.
And North esp UP is rapidly improving its infrastructure, that was neglected by secular govts. So, once infra is improved, reverse migration will happen, and North will become as productive as South.

I think we should compare individual states of India with Bangladesh. That would be more helpful, in understanding the problem. And we should focus on laggard states.
If Bangladesh were a state of India, then they would be at rank 16 out of 32. West Bengal, Rajasthan, Assam, UP have less GDP per capita than Bangladesh. Whereas, Maharashtra, Delhi and Tamil Nadu, Himachal and Uttarakhand are ahead. Punjab was at equal, but now Bangladesh would have surged ahead. At the same time, Assam this year would be growing at 9%.

@surindermuker1173 Agar graduation ke baad bhi pata na ho, ki kis field me jaana hai, toh graduation ka kya faayda.
Yeh, college join karne se pehle ya, college ke pehle/doosre saal mein tay karna chahiye.
Hamaare collegeon mein, courses thope jaate hain. Koi bhi course apni marzi se choose karne ki opportunity honi chahiye. Har koi, ek hi course padkar, ek hi naukri ke peeche bhaag rha hai. Yeh bhi nhi pata, konsi company konsa course maang rhi hai. Ulta seedha padh kar, phir rote hain. Company waalon ko dhang ke log nhi mil rhe, kyonki candidates unke hisaab se padhai nhi kar rhe !

Those officers although from upper caste, are making policies to tax upper caste and give benefits to lower castes. All the taxpayers crying, are from upper caste. Instead of being thankful to them, Rahul is abusing them.
Upper Castes have contributed more to the nation, paid more taxes to the nation, in the hope that lower caste will stand on their feet. Instead, they are getting abused.
Rahul Gandhi, who is beneficiary of Gandhi surname quota in Congress, can't understand this, because he has not done any job or business or any social service in his life. He is just a nepo-baby, wanting to become Prime Minister directly. BJP has made him work hard to just become LoP.

We can tax farm income through GST to the buyer at point of sale, above a threshold, and use concept of input tax credit.
If a single buyer is buying a lot of farm produce, then they should pay tax. To offset this tax, buyer should ask GST number from the farmer. If he bought more than a threshold from a single farmer, then that would be taxable, and buyer should ask for input tax credit, to get refund, whereas that particular farmer will have to pay his tax. We can sweeten the deal by giving giving back a negative tax to very small farmers.
This will encourage, buyers to buy small amounts from more small farmers, encouraging equity among farmers.

@pardeeptandon The GDP growth under MMS, was in rupees. If you check in dollars, it's more or less same, with Modi govt.
But inflation was touching 10% under Modi govt, even during normal times, when there was no war in the world.
Under Modi govt, average inflation never crossed 5% before the pandemic. Only after pandemic and war, it touched 7.7% max.
UPA actually had a crony capitalism problem which led to ao many NPAs. Raghuram Rajan, himself said all the NPAs originated in 2006-2008 period.
Modi govt has cleaned up the NPAs, and invested in infrastructure and logistics. And this is why, we are now, poised for an increase in private sector investment, which has been rising for the last 2 years.

During British Raj, there was much more poverty. And most corporate wealth is in stock valuation, which indicates future earnings, not the cash balance, which should indicate that they didn't take money from poor.
Anyways, these corporates don't keep cash in the bank. They invest in their companies and create jobs. So, Don't mislead on inequality.
And the same rich and corporate are paying all the direct taxes.
Poor are poor because businesses are not allowed to expand due to socialist rules of Congress era, which Congress prevents from reforming. Congress thinks this is 1950, and wants to keep us in 1950 like situation, like it did until 1991. The moment we liberalized and people saw the light, Congress has declined in this country.

So many Chinese bots spamming the comment section, desperate to defend the propaganda. 😂😂😂 Chinese bots swooped in before Indians started watching this.
Fundamentally, whatever generation, the Chinese boast of, the fact is, China will find it difficult to take off at high altitude of Tibet, because of lower air density, that reduces thrust and increases fuel requirement. Thereby, reducing the range. Or they have to fly from interior China, losing the surprise element.
Indian air bases are in the planes close to the Himalayas, and can activate quickly.

Look, the problem is secular parties have tried Muslim+caste vote formula, and kept doing socialist policies that wrecked our economy. High inflation, powercuts, poor infra and scams under UPA, made Hindus question this secular politics. Gujarat has good infra, and no powercuts, with BJP in power. Investment keeps coming to Gujarat. Hindus started feeling, Hindu unity is better, and gave BJP a chance.
BJP focused on efficient welfare through Jan dhan account and Aadhar, while opposition kept crying Muslim in danger, through Modi 1.0. So, obviously Hindus bought the efficient welfare politics. MMS govt despite being leftist, performed badly on welfare. Meanwhile, opposition kept scaring Muslim into consolidating further, and Muslim consolidation actually causes Hindu consolidation. So, opposition tries to break Hindu consolidation by abusing Hindus on various festivals, calling it patriarchy, while ignoring the patriarcy among Muslims, which Hindus are not blind to. So, that backfires too.
Moral of the story. Muslim consolidation+socialism has been shown the door, for good.
The only way to improve Hindu-Muslim relations is, bring Uniform Civil Code, and that will make Hindus feel Muslims follow secular Indian laws, and not the Islamic Sharia. Hindus don't mistrust any other minority.

@shekharbaliyan4430 when you admit 99% farmers don't get loan waivers, then it means only rich farmers are getting. So, why are we continuing this bad policy? It creates moral hazard where even those who can payback loans are discouraged from paying back, and they feel like fools to be doing the right thing.
If you don't know about rice surplus, then you should learn about it.
Majority farmers don't get MSP at the mandi, because govt procures unlimited and big farmers can sell at low prices. And they are not allowed to sell anywhere else by law, even to mandi of another district. Produce perishes on the way, and then shortage of the same leads to food inflation of onions, tomatoes and potatoes in the city. Direct linkage between buyers and farmers is what was encouraged by farm laws, and would have solved the problem. And you know what happened.
Atleast crop diversification should be done, to grow pulses and oilseeds that we are having to import. But some farmers only want to grow rice more and more. 1.5 lakh crore is spent on this bad policy benefiting a few. And we don't even calculate the cost of free electricity, which is cross-subsidized by industry that has to bear the expenses, and is not able to expand.

So, you think, he was being thoughtful, when he said that Sikhs are not being allowed to wear turbans and kadas in gurudwaras?
Are you aware that, Sikhs even go to Hindu temples, wearing turbans? And even Hindus wear kadas?
Rahul was trying to gain sympathy from Khalistani elements in USA, and embolden them to create trouble, as they have done in past, by attacking Indian embassies.
Don't try yo defend the indefensible, just because you hate Modi.
Kapil Komireddi is as much as a Modi hater, you will find. It shows that liberals are aghast at Rahul Gandhi.

@zayedulalam460 While money is coming in through exports, it is also going out due to imports. And imports and exports are affected by US dollar exchange rate.
In 2020, 1 USD = 80 taka. Today, it is 117 taka.
When USD becomes expensive, oil imports become expensive, leading to money going out.
Now, this would normally be compensated by exports bringing in dollars. But your export partners - US and Europe, started buying less because pandemic and Russia-Ukraine war, had affected their economies, and they had less money to buy your stuff. Hence, you sufferred trade deficit and you started becoming poor.

@Lucifer-hb5vq Why should states not be criticized? BJP ruled states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa are doing better than non-BJP states. UP Bihar are are seeing higher GDP growth rate than Bangladesh. Whereas, Punjab has huge debt, with low GDP growth. Kerala has an low GDP growth, high local unemployment, and dependent on foreign remittance only. Can you even start a business in Kerala and West Bengal? By blaming everything on Modi, you want to avoid accountability of state governments. So, can I ask same question to you - What is your problem, man? Modi is the devil for you, and is everyone a saint?

@dheerajmalik8115 Govt brought farm laws, which would have encouraged investment in cold storage for tomatoes. Every year, tomatoes were getting destroyed due to low prices, and today we had shortage, and prices shot up.
So, govt actually tried, but we only rejected reforms, and then go back to blaming govt.
This govt has managed to give us lowrst inflation in the world, by not printing money like Western countries, and also through good diplomacy to buy cheap Russian oil. Otoh, Chidambaram was asking govt to print money.

@dineshkpandey0368 Are you upper middle class or lower middle class? Lower middle class got direct tax cuts. Upper and rich should pay, and are paying half of the taxes despite being less than 2%. In reality, big farmers are not paying any tax. They are doing tax evasion.
When it comes to GST, items consumed by rich are taxed more than items consumed by poor. So, taxation is not a problem anymore.
The real problem is lack of good paying jobs for lower middle class and poor. And that is because people don't have proper skills. Colleges owned by politicians are looting through donations while selling substandard education.
Manufacturing is hurt by high electricity cost, to bear cross-subsidy for farmers' free electricity, who don't pay any tax. So, MSMEs don't have money left to create jobs, and have to face bureacratic terrorism.
These are the real issues. Not taxes.
Shout for reforms in agriculture and labour, so that poor can earn more, and be less dependent on freebies. Farm reforms had to be taken back and new labour reforms are not implemented by State govts. Talk about these solutions being blocked by vested interests.

I wonder if it would be actually a good idea, to pay all our imports, esp oil, in Chinese Yuan, instead of USD. I say this, because we need to save USD reserves anyway, and Trump's policies might lead to higher interest rates in US, that could cause dollar outflows from India. And buying more Yuan could make the Yuan stronger vis-a-vis INR, and make Chinese imports, expensive for Indians. Thereby, protecting our industry.

Brahman were not rulers. Their job was to maintain rule of law. Make sure, kings are ruling properly.
Today, what job is done by Supreme Courts and Election Commission, similar job was performed by brahmans in the feudal age. Somebody had to be there to oppose kings, if they were becoming fascist. This is why every Puranic story is talking about, defeating tyrannical kings.
If there was no brahman to act as arbitrator in society, them everyone would try to overthrow the king and make their own rules. And this would cause kings to become fascist and rule with an iron hand.
By creating rule of law, brahman ensured kings ruled for the subjects, and not for their whims and fancies. And even if the beauty is, even if tyrant happens to be born in brahman family like Ravana, he is defeated by Rama who rules according to law, for the people. When Nandas were misruling Magadha, a brahman named Chanakya, trained a shudra Chandragupta Maurya, to overthrow them.
Yes, inequality was there. But in every civilization, there was inequality. Era of Catholic church in Europe, too saw inequality in Europe. Atmost, we can agree that, brahman should not have got too much land grants. And that varna should have been flexible, and people at large should have been inducted into this varna. But brahman were playing an essential function in society. In the age of democracy, people have forgotten this.

@raghuveersinghrathore7395 Depends ki kis cheez pe criticize kar rhe ho. If you are one of those who criticize things like Article 370, and support leftists, only then you are called anti-national. Otherwise, most people support BJP, because it has been better than Congress, in many areas.
Congress kya gul khilayegi, humhe bhi pata hai. Reservation badhayegi. Freebie badhayegi, aur uske like petrol pe tax badhayegi. Is Haryana election mein, caste ke wajah se BJP haar rahi hai. Maybe, agar koi Jaat CM candidate rakha hota toh jeet-thi. Otherwise, BJP did a decent job.

It was never peaceful. Kukis keep encroaching everywhere, and have clashed with everyone.
They were first brought in 1800s by British to counter Nagas in the hills, and as a buffer between Nagas and Meiteis. In recent times, Burmese kicked their cousins the Chins, out of their home state of Kachin state in Myanmar, because of which illegal immigration into Manipur has increased.
Then Nagas kicked them out of the hills. And they went to the valley, where Meiteis live.
Meiteis are already living in cramped situation with 54% population in 9% land. No surprise, it was tinderbox waiting to explode. This is the original problem.
But this time, anti-BJP people and international "human rights" groups, which are in reality "Christian rights" groups, started showing sympathy towards them, and showcased this as, some kind of Hindu majoritarianism, because one of the party is Hindu.
Obviously, Hindutva-waadi stupidly defamed themselves, by themselves viewing this as a Hindu-Christian issue, strengthening the narrative of evangelists and human rights people's narrative. And there is also reports that Western countries are trying to setup a Christian state in North East. This is something even Sheikh Hasina is said to have voiced out, as motivation to interfere in Bangladesh elections.

@xxyz2023 Aren't you contradicting yourself. So, you say, China became developed when they had high youth population, and then you say it is a curse for India. What you always miss, is that India is not a country with a free business environment. Land, labour and capital are not free in this country.
Maybe, you think, simply doing khatakhat on this youth will cause development.
No. That demand will create jobs in foreign countries, where the factories are and where land, labour and capital are freer, which is China. In India, land is locked in agriculture. Labour is still unskilled for even manufacturing. Capital was trapped in NPAs, farm subsidies and there is competition for existing capital between infrastructure and mass subsidies. Leftards like you will ignore talking about this, just because you have a problem with BJP, that's actually trying to fix the problem, and instead do chamchagiri of those who oppose reforms for the sake of politics. So, get your priorities, rt.

Tera khud ka kya culture hai?
Roshni Act mein jo landgrabbing ho rha tha, Article 370 hataane se pehle, toh kya culture safe tha?
Jab bomb blasts ho rhe the, infiltration ho rha tha, UPA ke zamaane mein, toh kya culture safe tha ?
Aa gaya culture ki baat karne ! Ek parivar mein paida hone se, kya samajh aaya culture?
Bachpan se aaj tak, kisi mandir mein gaye ho? Kabhi koi pooja paath ki hai? Ghar mein parvarish toh Roman Catholic ki tarah hua hai. Bas politics ke liye, kuch idhar udhar ki tutored baatein bol dete ho ! Warna kuch maalum nhi hai, dharm aur puraan ke baare mein. Kisi devta ka mantra ya bhakti geet bhi nhi maalum hoga !
Khud ko janeudhari bolta hai, par bharat jodo yatra, mein bacche ko janeu ulta pehnaya tha !
Koi asli bande ko laao! Is nakli aadmi ko kyon jhel rhe hain, hum !

It is a misconception that caste system divided Indian society. It created society to begin with.
There was no society in the beginning. Only, a bunch of tribes, that were warring each other.
The caste system made multiple tribes, cooperate with each other, and start a civilization.
It did not change genetics. But preseved genetics.
Genetic change did happen, but happened more in upper castes, than lower castes, because of rules that, lower caste girl can marry upper caste boy, but not other eay round. So, genes of lower caste, moved up, but not the other way round.

@SEB_JUL Dude, where is it written that Ambani should not make money? He made same money before, during and after the pandemic. And it is not "his" money. It is misleading to say that, because it is Reliance's valuation, which is notional wealth and not cash. Understand that.
If Ambani sells his stocks, he won't get even half of the valuation. Hence, he won't sell. Ambani earns from his salary as CEO, and stock dividends. His salary is fixed at 12 crore for last 15 years, which means he is losing money due to inflation. And dividends have no relation to the stock price of Reliance.
So, stop complaining about ", Ambani making money". Learn how companies work, first.

@PriyanshuKumar-bl7dh Asking stupid misleading questions, doesn't mean anything. He may sound smart, but he doesn't know anything about economics. Both inflation and debt, for India have been under control for most of Modi era, except after the pandemic, when supply-chain was disrupted and US printed trillions of dollars. During UPA, growth might be 9%, but inflation was 10%, which makes net -1%. During Modi, inflation was average 4.5% and growth was 6-7%. So, net is +1.5-2.5% . That's how you look at the numbers.
It's a fact, that India has recovered fastest among major economies. Give credit where due. Our FM is an M.Phil in Economics from JNU, and you should watch her interview with India Today, in February 2022.
AAP opposes every reform that we have neglected and goes about throwing money in the name of being people-friendly. Punjab has destroyed it's industry through cross-subsidy of electricity for farmers.

Yes, that 10 lakh crore of rice has zero value. Because you are producing in excess. Grow less rice, then price will increase. And grow more pulses, that we are having to import.
In fact, Punjab should not grow rice at all. Eastern UP, Bihar and Bengal are right place. They have abundant water. No water pumps required. But irrigation canals are lacking there. So, we should invest in irrigation canals in Eastern UP, Bihar and Bengal, and increase the yields of rice there.
Punjab should grow pulses, millets and oilseeds.
And leave some land for industries also, so that non-farm.hobs can be created. Reducing electricity subsidy by not growing rice, will give cheaper electricity to industry and enable them to create jobs.

Well, the thing is, if you got money during the pandemic, as furlough, then you are gonna lose it now, either through taxes or inflation. The loss of production during pandemic, has to be borne, one way or the other. Without furlough, you would have been poor immediately, but now you become poor over time. That's the gambit.
And now, Putin turned off the gas. He played this game, where he destroyed Ukraine, made you sanction him, and then made you suffer in cold. He who holds the gas, holds your life.

@cyrusthegreat3081 While Manmohan is to blame, you must understand exactly how it happened. It was actually some stupidity.
In 2012-13 period, when US Fed was raised interest rates, US dollar started strengthening. At this time, RBI started selling forex dollars in the hope that Rupee will strengthen. But speculators bought the dollars, and caused further depletion of the rupee. It's called the Taper Tantrum.
If they had not done anything, and just allowed rupee to naturally depreciate, then the amount of depreciation would have been less.
It was again free market dynamics , affecting the currency, but an attempt to go against it, caused damage.

@billpugh58 It was not your money either. You don't even understand how govt budget works. Printed money is new money. Or call it, debt money. He basically, took debt on your behalf. Ideally, individuals who were affected should have taken their own loans, but he socialized the misery of those whose jobs were lost during pandemic. Now, do you think such a measure is correct or not? That's what you need to think. If you eay yes, you are a lefty, or you are a righty. Do you as a citizen care for your fellow citizens or not? Normally, a left-winger would have done this, but a right-winger went against his ideology, and took a social measure like this, and he is now asking that money back. Do you still think he is against working class?

What is the meaning of rich? Having a bank balance? No. If people get healthy food, shelter, medicine, energy needs met, with reasonable guarantee for future, stable sized family that gets education, then that's the meaning of rich.
Right now, every year we spend 110 billion dollars importing oil. If we can replace all that with solar, wind, hydro, biofuel and nuclear, then we can spend that money on other things like education and healthcare.
India is the most blessed land on mother Earth. We have certain advantages of fertile soil, water, sunlight and climate. Use technology to turn these advantages into a boon, and we will never complain.

@manasmajumdar4823 Crony capitalism is a myth. All businesses are growing. Not just Gujarati ones. Interestingly, people have no issues with Tata, who is also Gujarati. In recent times, Flipkart and Ola started by Bansal brothers, and Paytm started by Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Zomato by Deepinder Goel. All these are not Gujjus. Nyka created first woman billionaire Falguni Nayyar. Not a gujju. People want to believe anything, unsubstantiated, for sake of politics.
We have reached a saturation of growth because we don't have enough reforms. Land acquisition is a pain. Labour refotms are not implemented because of which companies have difficulty hiring the best and firing bad performers.
The biggest loot is done by politicians who are running low-class engineering colleges, where they take donations, but employability is zero. How about fixing that? There is wastage of farm produce because farmer is forced to transport to district mandi, and then forced to compete with big farmers who push the price down. There is no information to farmer on market demand. How about fixing that? These things need reforms. Putting restrictions on businesses based on cherry picking on Gujaratis will do harm.

@manasmajumdar4823 Big players have natural advantages, like better credit score. Govt does not need to favour them. Small players are to be helped through better credit availablity, and better logistics. For credit, govt started Mudra loans, and Open Credit Enablement Network, to help small player develop credit history. Better logistics and infra, help small guys transport at cheaper cost.
On education, honestly I don't know what to do. But govt spending on education can only increase, if they don't waste money on all the subsidies that don't reach intended recipients. Direct cash transfer for fertilizer subsidy, electricity subsidy, diversifying crops, would save money. Same for healthcare, except that medical colleges need medical teaching faculty that are hard to train overnight.

@AlwyneAvinash Are you sure, they are lazy and poor at managing finance, or they are just sick? In which case, we need to give them protein-rich food to restore their strength? Once, they develop bodily strength they could start earning, rt? That's what capex is all about. It's not simple financial mismanagement. Bihar's own income itself is too low, which this video talked about. So, steps need to be taken to improve that income.
Some suggestions are, stop rice cultivation in Punjab, and sugarcane cultivation in Vidarbha, so that Bihari farmers of these crops get a better price. But MSP and FRB to those crops in other regions has skewed the system against Bihar.
Moreover, Punjab and Vidarbha are depleting their water table due to this policy. Punjab is also wasting electricity for this and going to debt for this. Bihar is flood-prone and more suitable for ruce and sugarcane. Why not correct this imbalance, which is harming everyone, and pulling down everyone?

@JS-th1gi I think sabhi crops ko MSP hai, lekin procurement ki kami rahi hai. Isliye, logo ne dusre crops ugana hi chod diya hai. And other crops can be given MSP, as long as government can sell them in the market. But in case of rice, govt is not able to sell the procured quantity. I think, if govt promises procurement of all crops, then farmers should agree. Sadly, both sides are not talking.
And farmers are not realising that all farmers can't get the MSP in practice because market supply and demand forces will not allow. Actually, making MSP as law, will kill off small agri companies and it will actually help Adani/Ambani only. Only big companies and big farmers will benefit from MSP becoming law.
Small farmers depend on small companies, both cannot match the production of big farmers and the price offerred by big companies.

Can Canada even be considered a democracy, when it's "pay to play" system, rigs the candidate selection, on the number of guaranteed supporters it can initially get, and not on the basis of wider popularity? And now, it has become a case of tail wagging the dog, effectively, with Khalistanis controlling gurudwaras, and gurudwaras controlling Liberal and NDP candidate selection, to prop up Sikh candidates, where Sikh are not even in majority.

@ప్రపంచం-ఱ6ఫ Education levels among brahmins is very high. That's why they are able to adapt. We need to improve spending on education of all castes. But we only increase reservations. How, can people without good schooling take advantage of even 100% reservations?
And I tell you this. Things like Old Pension Scheme only benefits retired govt employees who don't contribute anything. A lot of retired govt employees would be upper caste. So, Congress is not your friend. They were trying to corner upper caste votes away from BJP, by OPS. Ironically, BJP which is shown as pro- upper caste, they are doing more for lower caste.
In a way, upper caste vote BJP for religion, while BJP gives reservations to lower caste. Upper caste voters of Congress, vote for money, while lower caste vote Congress for representation.
So, you decide which party is better.
I say, give free education and healthcare to everyone, and scrap old pension scheme. Retired people's expenditure of healthcare and children's education will be taken care of, while more money will be allocated for upliftment of lower castes.

@soundar4270 Firstly, don't bring RSS everywhere. They care about cultural issues, not economy and disinvestment. In the past, they actually supported Gandhian, socialism and Swadeshi ideology.
Now, there is good reason for selling profit making PSU, from a business point of view because :-
Firstly, this is when they will fetch best value.
Secondly, a lot of PSU, are dealing in old technologies that are becoming outdated. The world over, private sector is dumping these tech, and moving to more sustainable and efficient technologies.
Govts are too slow to react to market disruptions. As a result, what is profitable today, would become an inefficient dead weight tomorrow.
Lastly, govts prevent realization of full potential of a company, by forcing dividends that could have been reinvested. Eg- privatizing VSNL, turned into a world beating company called Tata Communications. And govt now earns much more in corporate taxes and it's employees' direct taxes.

@manjulashanmugasundaram706 I see hypocrisy in your abuse of people of UP/Bihar. Who made UP/Bihar backward? It was the caste based parties like SP and RJD, with their mafia raaj. These gunda parties are kosher for you, because they claim to be secular, when in fact they are just Muslim+Yadav parties. Backwardness caused by these parties, made people migrate to South, to seek jobs. And you people behave racist with them, while exploiting their cheap labour. Tell me, is this whole secular and bimaru propanganda, just your conspiracy to keep UP/Bihar backward, for your vested interests? Because I didn't see you abusing them, before BJP came to power, and actually started investing in infrastructure in North, and you started complaining of tax distribution. In the past, South benefited from Freight Equalization policy, at the cost of North, in a way reminiscent of colonial exploitation.
Maybe, you should allow North to grow, for once. This will benefit you only, as development will reduce migration to South, and then you can live with your racism and xenophobia !

@sabtaingopinath9652 I am not claiming to know what Muslims think. I am telling you what Muslim rule means.
You say you have problem with Zionism. Do you even know what Zionism means in the first place. It simply means acknowledging the right of Israel to exist in the land of the origin.
If you accept that and make peace, then there will be no problem. 20% of Israel population is Muslim, who are same ethnicity as Palestinians. So, you can't blame Israel. Israel has no problem with Muslims or even Palestinians.
The problem is from the Hamas side, who believe Israel should not exist, and want to kill every Jew out there. They are the ones who have converted Gaza into a military bunker, and keep attacking Israel. Most of the people killed in Oct 7th attacks, were actually pro-Palestine liberals.
The day, you accept Jews have a right to live safely away from all the nonsense they have faced throughout history, that is the day, peace reigns.

@xxyz2023 Yes, farmers are hindering manufacturing, when they get free electricity, and hinder land acquisition. To pay for free electricity, cost of electricity is made expensive to industry, and it hurts their operation cost and unable to create jobs.
If farmers simply did, crop diversification, that alone will save a lot of tax money, reduce electricity subsidy and reduce imports of edible oil and pulses. Then, rupee will depreciate less, and cheaper fuel could benefit the manufacturing MSMEs.

@pujasen702 Absolute money given to Healthcare has actually increased in current budget, from 80 thousand crore to 90 thousand crore. Overall percentage might have dropped, because overall expenditure itself has increased a lot, from 42 lakh crore to 48 lakh crore. But you should ask where does majority spending go. And those 2 states got 41,000 crore, when all states got around 93K crore.
Majority expenses are in infrastructure, defence, farm subsidies, govt salaries, Central schemes and interest repayments. Even railways got more money, this time, highest ever. So, decide where should we cut, to fund healthcare. Infra is necessary, to reduce logistics cost.

@AtifKhan-dk2id Go read definition of secularism, first. Why Hindus are not allowed separate personal laws, then? Every caste had different marriage rules before 1950. Be Indian first. Don't ask special treatment for worshipping Allah. You are not special. Legal pluralism is BS, backdoor two-nation theory. If you want special treatment, then separate country exist. Otherwise, nothing wrong with asking a Hindu Rashtra. Pseudo-secularism is not acceptable. Secularism for thee, not for me. Nahin chalega !
Don't bring Sikh beard. They are legally considered Hindus, when coming to marriage and inheritance laws. Whether a Sikh keeps beard or not, is not a legal issue. Whereas, you want seperate legal treatment for your personal beliefs, and then cry victimhood. Nahi chalega. If every group gets seperate treatment, then this is not one country. And everyone can create their own religion and group, and split the country.

@letsthink1991 NPA aur twin balance sheet problem, koi swabhavik nhi tha. Yeh loans, saare 2006-2008 ke beech mein diye gaye the. Khud Raghuram Rajan ne bola tha. Aur Rajan ne hi banks ko Prompt Corrective Action pe daal kar, loan dene se roka, jab tak unke NPA kam na ho jaaye.
Aur yeh bad loans, isliye hue kyonki, bina check kiye loans diye jaa rahe the. Aur 2008 global crisis ke waqt, ek forebearance circular nikla tha, jisme bad loans ko NPA na declare karne ki raahat di gayi thi. Par yeh circular jo temporary hona chahiye tha, kabhi waapis nhi liya gaya. Aur isliye, ye loans 6 saal tak, evergreen karke chupaaye gaye.

@abhishekojha8678 If it works, well and good. There is no reason to complain. But one thing. Just because we say, it's "chemical", doesn't make it bad.
Everything is a chemical, after all. Even natural/organic fertilizers and pesticides, are ultimately chemicals only. Except that what is labelled as 'chemical' is industrially produced and others are natural chemicals. Very often, the same natural fertilizer/pesticides are manufactured artificially in factories. And this is cheaper because natural processes are inefficient and slow, unlike industrial processes. And the thing is , scientific understanding, also provides solution to any side effects, and improve the processes. Whereas, nature takes a very long time to make any improvements. So, we should be open-minded about all knowledge, whether it is traditional or new.

This is wrong. In free market economy, the corporate don't randomly decide what to produce. It's linked with demand. Soviet planning always got it wrong on what to produce, in what quantity i.e. understanding how much is the demand which is dynamic. Some items were produced in excess, while others were in shortage.
And it's not just money or shopkeeper that raises price. When lots of people turn up at the shop with wads of cash, that raises the prices. And where did they get the cash? Because of employment created by employers by taking advantage of low interest rates.
It is this demand, which makes the shopkeeper raise prices.
What happened in current situation is, that there was a shortage of goods. You were getting cheap goods from China. The pandemic stopped supplies of these cheap stuff. Also, America was getting cheap oil from Middle East. But sanctions on Russia to punish them for the war, took out Russian oil out of the market, Middle East took advantage of the shortage and raised their oil prices. The money printing was done to fight pandemic only. But Putin waged a war, anticipating sanctions that would hurt America itself.

@BharatThatIsIndia Biren Singh can go. But it's not as simple as you think. Kukis and Meiteis MLAs had a nice show of unity in the BJP govt. And BJP was just too happy to showcase that as a success of forming their first ever govt there.
But just one High Court order, exposed the facade of unity. I don't think Modi-Shah gave us the problem. They inherited a problem, that they were ignorant about and we all got played by the tribes in question. Ignorance is why, I think Modi didn't go address them. Coz, honestly, who would he address there? I honestly don't see, what BJP would gain from this. I am pretty sure, they were flummoxed by this civil war. I am curious to know the history behind the court order.
I think, once Biren Singh is gone, the militias must surrender unconditionally, and then society needs to be reset. And then all measures like protecting lands of Meiteis or removal of any Chins etc be done.

@jinoyjacob4386 I don't think Rahul is integrating any of the diverse peoples of India. That is the biggest delusion ever, and probably he too is deluded. Caste census and jitni abadi utna haq is not going to unite anyone. It will divide by creating animosity between people of every caste. Do you believe in the idea of merit and hardwork, and equality of opportunity or do you believe in equality of outcome, where you appoint people for the heck of it, by caste, without focusing on improving education, and talking of wealth redistribution? This will create massive brain drain from the country too.
If at all, Indians have only gotten united over the last 10 years. Rahul is not trending high at all. BJP and Congress vote share is constant. It's just that opposition votes got united through good seat sharing. This was in response to BJP voter's unity, which is 36%. In previous election, opposition voters voted for their own caste based parties, as they didn't expect BJP supporters unity, and therefore got divided.
The RSS and Sangh parivar have been maligned and unfairly blamed for random things, while jihadi groups were running amok.
You can't unite people by saying mohabbat ki dukaan. You have to create policies that create equality of opportunity. Maybe, you also think, BJP is responsible for the situation in Manipur. But do you know, there were clashes between Nagas, Meiteis and Kukis, even before BJP, and Congress had imposed AFSPA. One high court judgement on reservations, caused the civil war. The solution is, removal of legal restrictions that are put on Meiteis, that force 50% population to live in 9% area.
And you can't expect good Hindu Muslim relations, if one religion keeps liberalizing and other has rise in radicals, and ask for hijab for girls in schools. Hindus are not asking for old practices. We need Uniform Civil Code. Just like Hindi Code Bills united all Hindus, UCC will unite Hindus, Muslims and Christians, by creating legal sense of equality.

@okokokkookokoko For the nth time, write-off is not a waive off. The loans are still to be paid, and recovery happens under IBC. The corporates ran off with the money, long back, when the loans were being hidden during UPA.
Write-off helps banks to start lending to genuine businesses, unlike the crony lending during UPA.
Regarding healthcare, hospital funding comes under state govt.
But Modi govt has impacted healthcare, by reforming medical education rules, through replacing MCI with NMC. And this has doubled the number of medical college seats in India, in last 10 years.
First you need to produce more doctors, otherwise empty hospital building is of no use.
And the money has been spent mostly on Infrastructure, Ayushmaan Bharat, Defence, Farm/food subsidy, Salary/Pensions and interest repayments.
Some day, take the pain of actually looking at the budget expenses, than simply crying corruption.
There is more corruption at the state level and municipality level, than the Central level. In fact, efficiency of Central expenses has increased because of Jandhan Aadhaar and Mobile base Direct Cash Transfer.
I preach because there has been real positive change. Stop copying Rahul Gandhi's rants.

I am not indifferent to Palestine. I am sick of hearing about it repeatedly, and be asked to take a stand, when none of the countries, that are involved, really want a solution. Except Israel, though.
Most Indians can be said to support a two-state solution to end that conflict. Except Indian Muslims, who think differently. And this stand of theirs, contributes to Islamophobia against them too.
Hamas is just a proxy for Iran and Qatar.
Iran wants to pretend to be a leader of the Muslim world, despite having neither hard or soft power. Qatar wants to show everyone that, it actually has power.
Arab states are not going to allow them to seize leadership, but it pays to use this as a distraction from their internal issues.

Because even numbers have to be divided by 2, the moment you hit a power of 2, it will collapse to 4-2-1. And the smallest power of 2, which is 3x+1 is 4.
If you want to find a number that doesn't obey 4-2-1, you need to find a number, that will never hit a power of 2.
Maybe, we should search in the reverse direction. Pick a power of 2, then find the odd number that yields that, by doing 3x+1. And check all the ways, these odd numbers can be reached.
And if there exists a number that violates 4-2-1, then it should be an odd number, and all its multiples with powers of 2.

The Canadian system which is a pay to play model, favours organized church like groups. Sikh gurudwaras, fit that bill. Hindu temples are not churches, where political lobbying happens.
And these gurudwaras have been hijacked by Khalistanis, who then bring guaranteed gurudwara voters, to push their candidates in the primaries of various political parties.
Apparently, the NDP and Liberal parties allow non-citizens to vote in the primaries. Because of these Khalistani candidates get elected easily as party representatives.
Hindus don't behave like a hive mind, because Hindus come from all across India. Whereas, Sikhs are mostly from one caste, you know which. So, Sikh esp Khalistanis have good vot gathering ability.

@Men_ofculture Goons? Who carry sticks and exercise in the park? Look, I have been hearing about RSS being blamed for literally anything, the left wanted to, while normalising political violence in bengal, and condoning mafia in UP/Bihar. And most ridiculous was, when Congress launched a book blaming RSS for 26/11. After that, I stopped believing anything the left said about RSS. It doesn't work anymore.
And if Mudra loans are not targeted for SC/ST, will you assume that, they don't get it? Cognitive dissonance on your part.
Btw, there is a targeted scheme for SC/STs. It's called Stand Up India, which does gives cheaper loans to SC/ST small businesses, tax breaks and gives preferential procurement of their products.

@yeh_desh_hai_humara You are giving wrong info. LIC was NOT sold. A percentage stake was sold. To public as IPO. It is still owned by govt only.
Loan write-off is not the same as loan waiver. For 10 years, you people are spreading this lie. The loans are still active, and have to be repaid. Many recovery done under IBC.
And in write-off, money is given to vanks, and new loans given in clean way.
But you never questioned UPA, who actually gave loans to their cronies, and didn't bother to recover. The loans were given in 2006-2008 period and hidden by evergreening for 6 years, until Raghuram Rajan became RBI put banks on prompt corrective action, and forced recovery.
In 6 years, companies siphoned off the money, and you don't question that.

@ankithhalmath6680 PM is like manager. One doesn't have to be expert in a specific area. He should have managerial skils. He has shown that ability. Even I was initially against him. But he has brought in appointed educated people, not caste based politicians like previous govts. Steve Jobs was also not strong technically, but he made a good team of technically strong people, and showed leadership.
But the lateral entry for bureacrats are specific subject matter experts, just like people in Steve Jobs' team.
What are they teaching in UPSC syllabus? Some outdated history lessons. Nothing about AI, semiconductor, or manufacturing or blockchain or latest banking practices.
How, will this country progress, if old people with no idea of today's world, and having studied 50-yr old syllabus run this country? People admire China, but they bring back educated Chinese back to their country, and give them responsibility. And you only want to look at caste of the person.

Bhai, 2 saal ke training ke liye, kitne paise dena chahiye, tumhare hisaab se? Woh koi jang mein nhi mara hai.
Bolte ho ki, faujiyon ko contract worker bana diya hai. Nhi bhai. Pehle din se, koi fauji thodi ban jaayega? Pehle contract mein kaabiliyat dikhao toh, tab fauji banaya jaayega.
Aur konsa tum contract worker ki fikr karte ho, jo factory accident mein marte hain, itne saare, kya unko 1 cr milta hai, kya? Unki fikr ki hai kabhi ?
Faltu politics kiye jaa rhe ho. Drama kar rhe ho.

@rishikeshkarle How will they not suffer, when bad policies are continued? To increase the prices, the govt has to increase the taxes, in order to pay for the procurement. And the same taxes cause an increase in input cost. Don't you see the problem, here?
Setting the prices doesn't work. Crop diversification is the need of the hour, and growing the right crop, for the region is needed.
If you grow rice and sugarcane in drought prone region, then you have to use spend more on electricity for pumping out water. And to subsidize electricity, they tax petrol, which makes everything costly. So, the bad solution itself is causing the problem. Then excess production will cause a drop in prices. This is basic economics.
So, stop growing rice in Punjab and sugarcane in Vidarbha, and switch to pulses, oilseeds, fruits and anything that doesn't guzzle water, and is in demand in the market.

@gpremkumar2015 Instead of asking to set prices, ask to reduce taxes.
Do you know, who earns the most from the mobile tariffs? The govt. Through spectrum license fees.
The telecom companies have been going bankrupt, because govt is charging exhorbitant license fees, even on non-telecom revenue.
This license fee, had bankrupted Vodafone. The govt had to allow increase in tariffs, so that Vodafone could also raise tariffs, and save itself.
Ambani has efficient business model. Also, Ambani is recent player. So, he has not accumulated license fee burden, like Vodafone.
Ask govt to cancel the license fee dues of Vodafone, then Vodafone could reduce prices and beat Ambani's prices.
And the license fees have been there for last 20 years. This policy is framed by socialist bureacrats from the early 1990s.
Toll gate costs are needed to maintain the roads.
Ask to reduce the wasteful expenditure done by govt, in various areas like - excess MSP procurement, that too in wrong states, stolen fertilizer subsidy, wastage of excess rice in godowns. Waste of electricity to grow the excess rice.
Then taxes could be cut. But you want to do things the wrong way, and keep crying.

@rishikeshkarle I am all for export man. To enable that only, the Essential Commodity Act was amended.
And do you know why exports are banned, time to time? So, that prices don't rise for the middle class consumer.
But this is bad way of fixing the problem, whose root cause is wastage due to various reasons, and farmers not growing based on demand.
Improving storage facilities, and connecting end consumers directly with farmers, through advanced contracts, to prevent wastage and ensure advance fixing of prices, is exactly why the farm laws were brought.
But we all live in misconceptions, fear-mongering and use bad ways of fixing the problem, and then we keep crying.

@gurusastropalmistry2214 We have satellite images showing the location of the bunkers, which China denied in the first place. We also know exact location, where the troops clashed. We live in age of satellites unlike 1962, where random maps could be made at will. All these locations are within the no-man's land between the claim lines of both India and China. India had lost access to patrol in some of the areas, even before Modi govt came to power, like Pangong Tso. But after the Galwan episode, Indian army took over the Kailash range, and patrol access was restored in Pangong after many years. The pending issue was with Depsang and Demchok. Apparently, patrol access has been restored, as per current deal.
I don't see any new love for China. It is China that has taken initiative this time. They want to improve relations before Donald Trump comes to power and puts tariff. But if Kamala wins, China can dishonour this deal too.

In all those rapes, no state govt defended the criminals like West Bengal govt, is doing so desperately.
In Hathras, policemen were suspended, and one of the villagers was arrested.
In Hyderabad, the rapists were killed in encounter.
The only case you can argue against is, Brij Bushan Singh, that everyone hates, even BJP supporters. He is a local caste bahubali, and the locals of his constituency are supporting him. But he was not given Lok Sabha ticket. His son was given instead.
But in this case, who is Sandeep Ghosh. Why is TMC defending him? Why was evidence, so openly vandalised?
This is more than just rape. Some big racket is going on, in that hospital, which TMC is trying to defend.

@shailkins20 As per disclosure, they redeemed their fund units in 2018. Perhaps, Adani might have been a co-investor, and usually one investor doesn't know, who the other investors might be. Usually, one only gets to know where the money is invested, and atleast at that time, they say, as per their friend Anil Ahuja, the fund didn't invest in Adani companies. And Adani's share prices started rising after 2019, and mostly during pandemic.

@varun2250 Correct. I second Arkajit's view. Just like Kashmir should stay with India, Donetsk and Luhansk should stay with Ukraine.
And the Kashmiri separatism, is artificially provoked by Pakistan, just how Russia provoked separatism in Donetsk and Luhansk.
We should maintain a consistency in our positions, or it could backfire.
The average Kashmiri opinion in the Indian side, is divided 3 way. Some want independence, some want to go with Pakistan and some want to be with India. Due to development work of Modi, pro-India forces have improved. And many realize that independence will not be feasible, and Pakistan is in a pathetic situation. So, India is playing its cards right.
But justifying Russia 's claim to Donbass, is a bad move, which can strengthen Pakistan 's game. Good that India maintained neutrality. We shouldn't support Putin's madness, just because Russia was good to us, in the past. Putin is not equal to Russia.

Implement work from home in every state. Then many talented North Indians, would go settle in their home states, and spend locally, creating prosperity in the North. Whereas, all the spending is happening in Bengaluru, and property prices are unreasonably high in Bengaluru now, with heavy traffic. Remote working will avoid concentration of rich people in Bengaluru. Also, North Indians in B'lore, are unable to vote in home state, and don't have voting power in the adopted state. Also, they have to face angry stares from locals in B'lore. So, remote working is the best solution.

Maana ki dikkat hai. Lekin zyada loco pilot hire karne ke liye, zyada tax bhi bharna padega. Woh paise kahaan se aayega?
Hum ameer kisaanon ko tax kab karenge? Middle class pehle hi zyada tax bhar rhi hai.
Ab yeh mat bolna ki Adani, Ambani aur dusre ammeron pe tax badao. Woh pehle hi kaafi tax bharte hain. Desh mein 0.0066% log, desh ka 50% direct tax dete hain. Aur baaki 50%, kuch 2.2% dete hain.
Lekin agar koi tax nhi deta hai, woh hai bade kisaan.
Ab ek aur maadhyam hai, desh mein paisa laane ka, woh hai manufacturing. Lekin usko rokne ke land acquisition ka kaanoon, yeh UPA waale hi le aaye. Labour laws bhi tough bana rakhe hain.
In sab maslon ka hal kiye bana, bas nakli aansu baha raha hai, ye aadmi aur bolega khatakhat rupaye, jisse mehngai aasmaan choo jaayegi. Yeh samajhne ki zarurat hai, deshwaasiyon ko.

Still half of this income tax is paid by rich people, who are 0.6% of the population.
Other half is paid by middle income people, that account for next 2.5%. Remaining 97% don't pay income tax.
So, simply saying income tax collections> corporate tax collections, is misleading.
And collections of both the taxes, has increased.
The one section, which needs to pay taxes is - the small number of rich farmers, who earn in crores, while rest of the farmers, live hand to mouth.
MSP procurement is cornered by few big farmers. Govt needs to make sure that, only small amounts are procurered from each farmer, at MSP. So, that everyone gets a fair chance.

@ananb7747 I am not talking about bus rides and LPG cylinders and income support. My comment was about farm subsidies only.
Watch Ashok Gulati's interview on ThePrint itself.
Subsidized urea is smuggled to Nepal to be sold at market price. Further, this cheap urea is also diverted for industrial applications. Black market is thriving. Instead, of subsidy, direct cash transfers to farmers, would save about 50,000 crore. Similarly, instead of subsidized electricity, give cash to buy that electricity. Then wastage will reduce.
Moreover, urea is not a good fertilizer. It has bad absorption by plants. So, land becomes saline over time. Instead, nano-urea and NPK fertilizers are better. Urea causes the grass to grow. Not the crops. The ither fertilizers would actually improve the yields. All these were beautifully explained by Prof Ashok Gulati.
Then MSP on rice and wheat is causing overproduction. And it's basic economics - oversupply will cause a price crash. And this harms the small farmers who are not able to sell their produce when competing with big farmers. Instead, advanced contracts and direct procurement from farmers would make sure, rice and wheat is grown in right quality according to demand, and engage other farmers to diversify to pulses and oilseed that we are having to import. And since, demand is dynamic, givt can't always decide how much to procure. All these imbalances have to be fixed.
But all these wisdom is rejected in the name of anti-corporate scare-mongering when we already have a successful model of ITC engaging in contract farming in Madhya Pradesh.

@sunnyj6068 Hasina gave high economic growth to Bangladesh. Textile factories shifted from India to Bangladesh under her.
Hasina also, smartly got low tariffs from China for Bangladeshi exports.
Coronavirus exported by China, and inflation caused by America printing dollars, led to protests against her, and you people forgot all the good she did, in the previous 10 years. And now, Bangladesh stands destroyed.
India has been a shielding force for Bangladesh from turmoil across the world, by giving you export markets. You people destroyed your own country, and blaming others.
But India, will not tolerate, if Bangladesh starts sheltering jihadi groups, like Khaleda Zia did. That's why India never liked her.
It takes two to tango. It is not just India's responsibility to have good relations.

Actually, we should have an Agniveer type of scheme for sarkari babus. In other words, more voluntary retirement. Then, we will save money for hiring people in places, that we actually need.
States like Kerala need to actually cut govt jobs, because salary/pension burden is ravaging finances.
And inflation in general needs to be reduced, by reforming agriculture supply-chain issues and more indigenous manufacturing, instead of spending on freebies. Lazy freebies, increase the money supply, thereby increasing inflation.
By lowering inflation through reforms, the salary expectation of sarkari babus will reduce, and more money will be saved for new effective hires.

@Ishpreetb264 Crore rupay kamaye hain. Pichle saal news mein report tha. Haan zyadatar kisaan tomato ko fekna pad rha hain. That is the inequality between farmers.
Cold storage ke liye, existing tax kyon nhi use kar sakte? Jo kharcha MSP pe lag raha hai, to procure excess of overpriced rice, aur sirf bade kisaanon ko mil raha hai; woh tax money cold storage pe lagana chahiye. Yeh, double double tax kyon bharte rahe hain, middle class? This is my anger against existing system.
Agar sirf Punjab ke kisaan, chaawal ke jagah, daal aur oilseeds ugayenge, toh desh ka import bill kam hoga. Itna wastage jo bachega, usme sabka fayda hoga. Aur wohi rice, agar UP Bihar ke kisaanon se khareedein toh unki gareebi kam hogi. UP Bihar mein Punjab se zyada paani hai. Water pump ki zarurat bhi nhi. Sirf fertilizers ka use kam hota hai, jo theek kiya jaa sakta hai. Toh bijli kharcha bhi bachega.
Lekin sirf apna soch kar, nuksaan karne me tule hain sab, jiski bharpaayi taxpaying middle class ko dena padta hai !
And don't do Adani Ambani again, because people like them are only creating jobs for middle class, making them capable of paying taxes in the first place. Adani Ambani ke naam pe private pe pabandi lagayenge, toh chalti nayya bhi doob jaayegi. That's why reform agriculture, reduce wastage.

At the end of the day, it's about 2 things. Distributing taxes from rich to poor. While this is not a bad thing in itself, this cause moral hazard, where people don't use resources wisely, and deplete them. There is no incentive for saving electricity, when it is given free.
The only solution is to increase the incomes of people, so that they can pay for electricity from their own pocket. And to increase incomes, we have to have job-creating business friendly environment, and free education and free heathcare, also helps with improving employability and productivity of the people.
This is why free education/heathcare is good, but free electricity is not !!

Fiscal deficit has nothing to do with imports.
And fiscal deficit is not a problem, as long as GDP grows more than the deficit, to cover that up.
Now, how you use that borrowed money is what determines, how much GDP growth will happen, and hiw much inflation will happen, as it is dependent on the multiplier effect. Infra spending has multiplier of 3, whereas subsidies and revenue expenditure have a multiplier of 0.95.
It's the difference between taking loan to enjoy life vs taking loan to upskill yourself, and get a job that pays back your loan.
Still India's FRBM Act mandates a limit of 3.5% fiscal deficit, which was breached after pandemic, but has been coming down since.
And your blaming of fiscal deficit, breaks down in the case of US, which enjoys printing the reserve currency and exports inflation.
Lastly, even if fiscal deficit becomes zero, doesn't mean imports will become zero. Import and export are dependent on needs of the economy.
We don't produce enough crude oil, edible oil, and pulses. And we buy lot of gold for cultural reasons.
Now, if govt borrowing is used to say, discover an oil field, or build nuclear power plant, and build better highways that improve fuel efficiency, then our energy imports will come down.
For pulses and oilseeds, we really need to diversify out agriculture. Some of the inflation of fruits and vegetables, are due to broken market linkage because of which farmers destroy the fruits and vegetables for lack of a better price. Enabling direct sales between farmer and buyer would fix this issue, and was part of the APMC Amendment Act that is now repealed due to pressure from Punjab.
Rupee is made to fall, to benefit exporters, and to have a buffer of dollars in critical times. Deepak Shenoy argues that, we have too much buffer, that we are hurting today's growth for fear of tomorrow's uncertainties.

@abhishekinfra No. Our deficit has not been equal to growth on average after 1991. During Vajpayee era, UPA 1, and pre-pandemic Modi era, fiscal deficit has always been less than 3.5% and GDP growth has always been above 6%.
Only during UPA 2 and post-pandemic Modi era, did fiscal deficit grew beyond 3.5%. Yet, inflation was less in Modi era than UPA 2, because UPA 2 used the borrowing for revenue expenditure, whereas Modi 2.0 used it for capital expenditure. So, it's not about "mismanagement". It's about right policies vs wrong policies.
And the rupee has never been "allowed" to fall, but it wasn't allowed to rise either. As long as America has power of dollar, all other currencies will suffer. But, liberalizing the currency, will allow periods of appreciation as well. That's the crix of the discussion.

Economy was not kick started by Manmohan Singh. Although liberalisation was started by Manmohan Singh, it was a forced choice by IMF, and not a conscious choice. And more reforms were needed, which was done by Vajpayee. And GDP growth gained pace under Vajpayee.
Then Manmohan Singh became PM. But he didn't do any new reforms. His govt was left-leaning, and many of his party members were left-leaning although he himself might have been pro-business rightist.
UPA, instead of reforms, pumped money, and caused inflationary growth. They mishandled the global financial crisis of 2008, and instead of completing infrastructure, they just pumped more money, which failed in the face of high oil prices and general global recession.
Modi 1.0 controlled inflation by doing Aadhar based efficient welfare delivery. Many laws hindering businesses were removed. Modi 2.0 is the one doing reforms now. Real potential will be achieved only now.

@temp-key-999 Unemployment is not the problem. Unemployability is.
Lot of scam engg colleges are owned by politicians where you learn nothing at all, even after huge paying donations.
Private sector not able to find skilled people, to fill their vacancies.
Rural spending has not declined. So much Direct benefit transfers, and infrastructure jobs are happening.
Only, pandemic affected the country badly, and it is taking time to recover. There is no quick solution for this.
Labour reforms and farm reforms are needed, to fix the wastage in agriculture, and encourage transition to manufacturing sector.
But you people oppose this in the name of fake narrative of cronyism, and cause the problems that you claim to be crying about.
So, stop the drama, and let reforms allow economy to grow !

I sincerely, think biogas plants are useful solution for both gas and fertilizer needs. The fertilizers are made from chemicals like N,P,K,urea. These are absorbed by crops for producing food and crop structure, and then animals excrete out these chemicals after utilising part of the energy of the food. Recovering these from all bio-excreta and crop biomass, is helpful as we are just recycling the same nutrients for living beings.
Burning cow dung cakes, destroys valuable chemicals, for the sake of utilising just the energy. Decomposing them into biogas and biomanure, is helpful in separating the energy in methane, while rest of the chemicals can be reused as fertilizer.

Sorry, Mr Bhagwat, you are wrong. Caste is not a bug in Hinduism. It's a feature that worked in the past, but irrelevant today. Caste system is a system of governance, just like we have army, bureacracy, executive, labour and industry. Only difference today is, these organs of society are not hereditary like before. And it was not a deliberate conspiracy. It was well-intentioned, but no system is perfect. We care about equality, only in modern times. In the past, survival mattered more. Ther was no technology in transport, communication and medicine like today. In the absence of technology, our ancestors created some system to get by.

@mohamedhabib8460 No. We have been doing demand side only, all these years. What benefit did it do? Don't bang your head against the wall and hope the wall will break.
Demand side measures work in already developed economies, where infra is already built, industries are already there. In such countries, people are rich enough to tolerate inflation.
Imports are more than exports, but both have been rising under Modi. The only reason imports are more is crude oil and cooking oil imports. Modi govt increased incentives for renewable energy, and started Palm oil mission. We have so much fertile land and good climate, that we should not be importing cooking oil, but growing locally. But useless MSP for rice/wheat has screwed up everything. Demand side, gives a short term sugar high, but doesn't lead to growth. You become dependent on imports forever, and prone to external fluctuations.
In your arrogance of supposedly superior intellect, you are behaving dogmatically, and unable to recognise your own stupidity.
