  2. I think it's a horrible world to bring them into. If your partner is fine with it then there's no problem. I see friends with 3 or 4 kids who have no life at all, school runs, after school clubs, homework, constant expenses, constant rows. I totally agree that you have to want it 100%, too many kids are accidents and they aren't raised properly. You can get love from pets with nowhere near the hassle! As for the 'who looks after you when you get old' question, how selfish to expect your kids to have to look after you in old age. If you have money you can use carers, if the money goes you can go into a home, which is probably what the kids would end up doing anyway.
