@Rob_and_Other_Names He won't be starting league games. If he stays it will be to play in the cups. JK had already told him his game time will be limited. He isn't starting ahead of the two new boys and JK seems to love Bajčetić and Jones, although Bajčetić is still recovering from injury. If everyone is fit he defo won't be getting in the side.

I hope he leaves, he hasn't got the legs anymore especially given he's still clinging onto his England squad place which Liverpool fans aren't arsed about. I hope he takes the other fella Thiago with him but I would keep Fabinho.

@robertesellers He had one bad season, same as many others last season. Van Dijk was awful last season, besides Stefan Bajčetić, the whole midfield was poor. Would you sell VIrgil too based on one bad season? Fab is younger too. If he is poor this season then maybe Klopp might look at the situation again. Saying that he might decide he wants to go. I really don't think losing Ox, Keita, Milner, Hendo, Fab and possibly Thiago all at once would be right though, of that group Fab would be the one I would keep.

@robertesellers Yes we definitely need a CB. Fab is going anyway but I would have definitely got rid of Thiago and Henderson first. Fab was outstanding at his best, Alan Hansen had no pace nor did Hypia but they were still two of our best players.

@robertesellers Hansen was outstanding but am saying he wasn't pacy. I still think Fabinho was a huge part of our recent success and shouldn't have been sold for one bad season, Thiago is slow and gets caught out on the ball, would rather him and Henderson left but, Fab has gone anyway

@adhdave He played well for a couple of seasons but that was it. JK didn't play him in 18/19 in a lot of the big games, he bust a gut in that Barcelona 4- 0 game because he was dropped for the away leg. He was good in the title winning year and had spells in 21/22 but he was poor last season which seemed to have a knock on effect on those around him. We just need someone who has more about him, he isn't a game changer, he can't do set pieces, he doesn't really score and rarely assists, he can't do box to box, he isn't like James Milner who could go and play left back for a season. He was flagging last season by the 60 mins mark and JK was signalling to Jones or whoever to replace him. I don't think JK fancied him from day one which is why Keita was brought in, Keita started getting picked ahead of him in European away games and other big games but his injury issues obviously affected things. I think he knows now Szoboszlai and Mac Allister are ahead of him and even Bajčetić, I hope he is sold so we can go out and buy a DM. No getting away from it, the midfield needed an almost total clear out, I wouldn't be sorry to see Thiago go either.
