@michaelshirhall1831 Marginal gains in exchange for horrific losses, truly a winning strategy.

Anyone who is pro appeasement should spend some time reading a history book.

@Dan-mm1yl Skip to the part that explains what disastrous policies isolationism and appeasement were.

@markbudaden110 What a silly comment. A quarter of Russian's don't have access to indoor plumbing, maybe they should look into that instead of invading their neighbors.
4
@Blacknife98 NATO has roughly 16,000 more aircraft than Russia.

@user-ug8wx5er1w Russia is in violation of the Minsk Agreements. The deals required a ceasefire, withdrawal of foreign military forces, disbanding of illegal armed groups, and returning control of the Ukrainian side of the international border with Russia to Ukraine, all of this under OSCE supervision. Russia has done none of this. It has regular military officers as well as intelligence operatives and unmarked “little green men” woven into the military forces in Eastern Ukraine. The LPR and DPR forces are by any definition “illegal armed groups,” that have not been disbanded. The ceasefire has barely been respected by the Russian side for more than a few days at a time. Of course there would be no need for Minsk if Russia hadn't pereviously violated the Budapest Memorandum.

@a.wyattmann1025 The US has provided billions in aid to Palestine. From 2021–2024 alone the US provided over 500$ million in aid.
3
@Makroti1050-z9y What a silly comment.

@Blacknife98 In 2023, the United States exported about $874 million worth of armored vehicles. In 2022, the US exported $954 million worth of armored vehicles. The United States remains the world's largest arms exporter responsible for 41.7 percent of international arms sales. The US has the largest number of armored fighting vehicles in the world, with over 45,000. The US military has about 4,650 main battle tanks. You have no idea what you are talking about.
3
@Blacknife98 You don't need to produce vehicles when you already have enough and aren't at war. The US alone has a massive advantage over Russia by every metric, pretending otherwise is just silly. Why do you think Russia went with cup in hand to Iran and NK? Because the have an abundance of equipment?
3
@user-ug8wx5er1w There was never any NATO promise, even Gorbachev said as much.
3
@Thuon_ Medvedev already announced the reason for the invasion, Ukraine discovered large mineral and hydrocarbon deposits and Russia wanted to maintain it's European monopoly.
3
@lemdixon01 2014 is when Russia began this invasion, nobody would be bombing anything if they hadn't.
2
Anyone with a clue cheering for appeasement is absurd.
2
@Blacknife98 You realize we can see Russia's equipment yards from space right? 2025 and Russia run through the last of their Soviet legacy, per photographic evidence. 90% of their new "production" is the refurbishment of cold war relics, not production of new vehicles.
2
@hf3093 Yeah remember when the US invaded and annexed Cuba and said they were never a real country? Also nobody at any point even suggested putting nukes in Ukraine.
1
@user-ug8wx5er1w It isn't NATO that's invading Ukraine.
1
@markbudaden110 What does that have to do with anything? What a silly comment. 1/4 of Russian's don't even have a toilet, maybe they should take care of that before invading other countries.

1
@Blacknife98 They aren't using other countries equipment for diplomatic reasons, they are doing it because of a critical equipment shortage, 50% of all the ammo used by Russia this year is from NK. Like I already said we can see their vehicle yards from space, they are almost out.
1
@Blacknife98 The second largest arms exporter on earth is France. Germany, the UK, Italy and Spain are all in the top ten. You really have no idea what's going on. Russia is already facing a critical labor shortage, it doesn't matter how many resources they have they don't have the manpower to get them to market nevermind the manpower to manufacture anything.
1
That's more or less what happened in Korea and Vietnam. There weren't any escalation tantrums.
1
@csuporj Should Nato fly missions from friendly air bases instead? That would be the equivalent.
1
@anaeusrex2014 The Germans are supplying weapons to Russia's enemy. By your logic the Russian's withdrew and lost ww2.
1
@Blacknife98 Putin has been so disastrous for Russia I honestly wouldn't be surprised to learn he was a CIA plant.
