  2.  @oussefel3220  Prior to 2014 less than 10% of Ukrainians wanted to join NATO and several NATO countries were opposed to them joining. Ukraine's chances of joining NATO was effectively zero. Russia invaded because Ukraine discovered large gas deposits and threatened Russia's energy monopoly in Europe.

  4.  @Hereford1642  There was no serious discussion of Ukraine joining NATO prior to 2014. Rapprochement with NATO wans't even an issue in Ukraine until 2019, five years after Russia began its invasion. Less then 10% of Ukrainians wanted to join NATO and multiple NATO countries were opposed to it. Ukraine's chances of joininng NATO was essentially zero. Want to know what other country mused about joining NATO? Russia, should they have invaded themselves?

  6.  @hhgg28  Because whataboutism is what every Russian argument boils down to. Some other county (probably the US) did something wrong in the past, therefore all Russia's current crimes are somehow justified. Its complete nonsense.

  7.  @Hereford1642  Yeah the US went door to door to try to get people to protest Yanukovych's corruption. They wanted to start the only successful coup in history that ended with the same government it started with. 2015 was after Russia began its invasion, is it really some mystery why Ukraine asked the UK for help?

Zelensky was voted in in an election, and he was the candidate supported by Russia because he was a Russian speaker, and they thought because he was an 'just an actor' he would be easier to control then Poroshenko. This of course backfired. The other option Poroshenko was so hated by Russia they poisoned him. You guys really live in some sort of fantasy world.
