Also to date there is evidence of 2 Leopards and a handful of Bradley's being destroyed 5 days ago and you fools act like its the downfall of western civilization. And who said this wasn't a 'real offensive'? Not me, I just said 3 days was unrealistic to expect any significant results. The allies spent weeks on the beaches at Normandy then 8 more clearing out the hedgerows. Ukraine's progress has so far been much faster then that.

Nice try though. Western media isn't perfect but considering Russian media has claimed that they've destroyed more HIMARS then have ever been made along with the destruction of multiple Leopards and Bradley's months before they even arrived in Ukraine its difficult to take anything they say serious at all. Russian media has claimed that they've destroyed the Ukrainian army several times over, they claimed that some deep underground NATO bunker was desroyed killing dozens of generals, a claim that first surfaced in some Greek tabloid and Russian media just ran with because you know forget fact checking I guess. Please stop spreading misinformation.

  7.  @againstviralmisinformation510  Oh and you are right to be skeptical of the lancet one. There is footage of that on the ground of them blowing up a wooden decoy. The Ukrainians there mock Russian media saying they'll claim its another Leopard kill. Which they predictably did. Russia also photoshopped one of their own destroyed T80's and tried to pass it off as a Leopard. Oh and the whole farm equipment debacle. Though on that one i'm not sure if they were deliberately lying or if they were just so imcompitent they really though some tractors and combines were actually leopards. Russia must have been even more traumatized by tractors then I thought.

  10.  @PaulV.  To put this in perspective, imagine if the US invaded Mexico, then after 2 years, 6 figure casualties, losing over half the the territory they once occupied, trench warfare that never ends and one attempted coup the US said. "Well Mexico was preparing for this for 8 years and their army was really big. We captured Tijuana though so we aren't a complete joke." This invasion has been a disastrous humiliation for Russia no matter how you try to spin it.

  11.  @PaulV.  Ukraine has received about 3% of NATO's annual military budget, mostly in the form of old stock. Ukraine has received almost none of the 'most modern' weapons. Primarily cold war relics at the end of their shelf life, not exactly unlimited resources. Moreover history didn't start last year, Russia has had a much higher military budget then Ukraine for decades. Russia squandered tens of thousands of military vehicles to accomplish next to nothing. Also if the US invaded Mexico it would be over in a couple of weeks not the multi year disaster the Russians are engaged in no aid would matter because it would be over before any help could arrive. It took the US just over 500 hours to take Iraq, and they had a much larger army then either Ukraine or Mexico and were on the other side of the world. Russia cant even take the Donbas and its a half days drive from Moscow.

  17. Hydrocarbon export revenue (a fat chunk of the economy) is down 90% since the start of the war. Russia is sanctioned to oblivion, the Ruble is in the toilet and Russia is going through one of the worse demographic collapses in history. Russia just banned the export of refined products because of fuel shortages. Oil and gas is all Russia can do and even that's falling apart. But sure the economy is booming, just ask them.

WASHINGTON, July 23 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that while Ukraine has recaptured half the territory that Russia initially seized in its invasion, Kyiv faced "a very hard fight" to win back more. "It's already taken back about 50% of what was initially seized," Blinken said in an interview with CNN on Sunday. "These are still relatively early days of the counteroffensive. It is tough," he said, adding: "It will not play out over the next week or two. We're still looking I think at several months."

  23.  @ndurocher85  Russia has unleashed its full army, as evidenced by Wagner taking Rostov and waltzing straight to Moscow and the Kremlin could do nothing but bomb its own refinery and dig up the highway. The 'Russia isn't even trying' is the dumbest excuse there is, if that were true (its not) Russia would be even more inept then I thought. you'd think they would do whatever they could to win the war instead of dragging it out taking terrible casualties.

  50.  @yaqob3275  Russia retreated from Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Izuim (the main logistic hub in the area along with a mountain of equipment) and Kherson. Typically when you invade a country you dont want to engage in trench warfare that never ends a few miles across the border.
