@RayCharles. I'm not American. The difference is the US has an enormous economy and they could pay it off pretty quickly if they wanted to. But debt isn't as big a deal as internet economists make it out to be.

@RayCharles. since the start of the war USD % of global trade has risen. De-dollarization is a fantasy. Yuan makes up less then 3% of global trade, nobody wants tin pot dictator funny money. The only real contender is the Euro and its way behind the Dollar. Also if the USD wasn't the world reserve currency it wouldn't' effect the US economy, if anything the citizens of the US would be happy because now the dollar wouldn't be artificially inflated and they could become an export country again.
